A cheap alternative for mounting a scope to a Vepr. So far so good. I hope this will last. I mounted a cheap scope to a 30-06 AK and it has held up with no issues. There are better options out there, but for me this gets the job done. I will be buying another one for my 7.62×39 Vepr.

Mounted this on my RAS47 two years ago and it works great with my Athlon 4×32 scope. I use this set up for Deer and Predator hunting and it's done a great job so far. I take it off after hunting season and both times I've only had to make minor adjustments when reattaching it to the rifle, which was a nice surprise at $22.

Compared to the prices for other types, this is a screaming bargain. Mounted mine on a WASR 10 and it fit like a glove. Took a couple of test fits to get the right clamp on it, give it a wiggle and slides right on and off. Holds zero very well.Lowered 1 star for the actual screw on it. The Phillips head cross was way off center, not a little, a LOT. If you're a weight fanatic, you could probably drill holes to make it a little lighter.

I initially thought this mount was incompatible with my PSAK-47's side rail, the problem was I wasn't tightening the lock down screw enough.I was afraid to go too tight as these mounts are made from aluminum and we all know how easy it can be to strip if it's poor quality.Here's what worked for me.1.Slide the mount onto the side mount rail from right to left. You'll notice it's very loose on the rail.2.With the QD lever in a 90 degree angle to the rail begin tightening the QD screw counter clockwise until the slack is taken up(takes quite a bit of pressure on the screw to accomplish)then move the QD lever counter clockwise until it locks in place. If there's any slack left just return the QD lever to the 90 degree position and tighten the screw a little until the slack is completely removed when you lock the QD lever back in place.

The rail mount for AK style weapons fit easily and securely, the QR lever is handy. Comes at a good price for the quality, only con is the mount obscures the front sight but with Optic and/or QR ..No worries. Would recommend.
