The AD-RECON-H mount is made for putting high power glass onto a flattop style AR-15. Designed to be used in conjunction with a Laser Sighting System to bring the Objective Housing high enough to clear the laser, or for shooters requiring a higher cheek weld for heads up shooting. This is the tallest mount that we offer. The cantilever throws the scope out front with 2? offset, allowing you to get the right eye relief. It is precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize. It features the Patented QD Auto Lock Lever system to accommodate both in spec and out of spec rail systems. I've switched from using the standard height mount offered by American Defense over to the AD-RECON-H scope mount. It sits a little bit higher than normal and makes it much more natural to present onto target and shoot. American Defense never fails with their great quick detach feature. The finish on the product itself was quite nice. I got the tan colored one for my block II build. I'm currently using the vortex viper pst gen II 1-6x.

High quality product. Exactly what I was looking for to clear my Sig BUS sights on my 516 patrol rifle. I had originally ordered the lower mount, which I believe is 1.47; however, there was slight interference with the rear Sig sight. This taller mount did the trick. The throw levers are extremely high quality and the mount is extremely light.

If you are looking for a sturdy mount, that can quick detach and doesn't lose zero this is it. I have even taken if out and put it back in the same spot and it kept zero. This mount does not move once you have it locked in. Currently have a Vortex Viper 1-6 gen 2 on it. Great mount. Would recommend.

Wait for a sale and pic one up, lighter than a bulky precision mount ….well made for return to zero. Only about 500-600? Rounds on it but have swapped optics several times on the platform and it is close enough to be environmental changes when swapped back onto rifle ….

Great quality all around the one I got did not have the titanium levers that I thought I was getting. The quick release lever on the rear would not lock down due to the case deflector stoping it before it could lock. I ended up flipping the levers and it worked fine.

I firmly believe these are the best quick release scope mounts on the market. They are priced in a lot of cases lower than others in their class. They are very steady and they are truly "quick release".
