A lot of haters out there, but this is a decent mount. I have a Wolf PVS-07 that I did not want to have to spend another $350 for a AGM mount for… This worked perfect.Really wish AGM, Wolf and I forget the other would stop using that dang mini-rail or at least come out with an adapter to make it a Rhino or dovetail… but that is a separate topic. This works, is not as "brittle" as people say (they must have been literally yanking it) now I do see the small screws everyone is talking about, will it be durable? Not sure… but it was built to break away, and that it will do if the conditions are right.I have a bunch of AKs from more than a few countries, Ukraine makes decent stuff from the old com-bloc world, this isn't a $90 made in China mount from Amazon or eBay, but it isn't a Norotos either.I trust it, just have a good tether, which you should have anyway…

It provides a fair bit of adjustability though in the end I would say it has 2 major flaws. The first is the pitch could use a fine adjustment feature as it potentially locks the angle of your optic in a way that is fixed and I felt requires your head be too straight up. But more importantly complaints about it being held on by two tiny screws is not an exaggeration. There are two screws 2-3mm dia with no more than 3 threads engagement holding this thing together. It was designed to fail with an impact or a bit of force. However it is fairly easily fixed. Removing the lateral mini rail and drilling/re tapping to 4-40 with at least 4mm depth engagement did the trick. Then you need to deepen the 90deg pocket for the screw head by about 1/2mm for the larger screw size head to stay flush and not interfere with rail operation and this thing works quite well. It was a stupid design mistake that a competent engineer shouldn't have made. a drill press, tap set, and slightly larger and longer 4-40 screws will fix this.

I have a Gen 1 Nightstar goggle that can be mounted to a helmet, and I don't want to spend on an overpriced AGM G50S mount. This mount works for me and the older Gen 1 device. The mount is not super rigid like the Mil-spec Rhino mount and slightly wobbles when a heavier Gen 1 device is mounted. It has limited adjustment when mounted to a helmet.Still, I managed to run it on a helmet with a counterweight kit, so I'm happy with my purchase.

The mount works great and attached to my helmet perfect. Very well built mount and the price point was spot on.

The moubt angle is way off from standard helmet angles. It fit poorly in the base mount and had to be filed down to work and the final angle of the night vision. Was pointed down to the grou d. I am out over $100 for something that isn't even close to working….junk. Also, poorly written description.

This mount was included for free with the purchase of my Armasight MNVD-40. It has all of the functionality and adjustability to not REQUIRE purchasing another mount; however, I would not count on it if you use NODs professionally. When using your monocular, the locked position is too far past horizontal (i.e., the monocular is shoved aggressively into your eye socket and wants to point at the ground, forcing you to tip your head back slightly). To get around this, I just use elastic straps to keep the monocular at a comfortable position without the mount being locked in the deployed position.Speaking of which, there are no lanyard holes to hook said elastic straps to the swiveling arm, so I had to use zip ties (there aren’t any lanyard holes on the MNVD-40 either). If you don’t know why this is an issue, the elastic straps help keep the NODs in both the up and down positions, and they help keep the expensive night vision device from falling to the ground if the mount dismounts itself. With that said, if you’re using the monocular recreationally, like me, this mount works just fine, and is considerably less expensive than getting a Wilcox G24/G95 and bridge mount.
