Yes, this thermal is pretty expensive, but it works pretty good. Whether you have it in white-hot or black-hot mode, you can see great in total darkness. I also like that it can be mounted on the helmet. Mainly use it outside the house for taking care of critters who haven't learned to stay away from my house and it works great.
