This Thor 4 thermal scope is fantastic! Has a really crisp clear images. The software and app are really great. The battery life seems to be good as well. I can’t wait to take it out and use it on my next Hog hunt! Best thermal optic in this price range.

I have a feral hog and armadillo problem on my properties. In one week with the Thor 4 I have cleared out a dozen armadillos and 3 feral hogs, with one huge boar. With a few settings adjustment and testing what looks best for my eyes, I get a very sharp picture at night. I prefer the black hot with high contrast. It shows much more detail in the surroundings than white hot in my opinion. I currently have my Thor 4 mounted on an AR-15 and am shooting Winchester .223 55gr ballistic tip ammo. The one shot zero is great and really works, though you will need to keep tweaking the zero as you move your target further out. My final zero was at 100 yards. Excellent product, a lot of fun, and performs better than expected.

Upon receipt of my new ATN Thor 4 I immediately downloaded and installed the most recent firmware. Unbeknownst to me, I utilized my Mac instead of a PC which apparently corrupted the firmware file. As a result, my compass would constantly show “N” and would not calibrate using any of the calibration methods shown in the Thor manual or the numerous ATN forums. I emailed an RMA form to ATN to return the scope for repair or replacement. Within 24 hours I was contacted by service representative Ethan. Not only was Ethan’s initial reply very prompt, but he communicated with me three times that same day, eventually sending me the proper files to correct the problem. Although I have yet to hunt with my Thor 4, I wanted to express my gratitude and admiration to Ethan and the ATN customer service crew. Such great customer service is hard to come by in this day and age and is much appreciated.%

The ThOR 4 is by far the most advanced optics I’ve ever owned, awesome technology from the thermal settings to the range finder to the ability to connect WiFi to your phone I enjoy it completely. The one shot zero is a bullet savor for sure. Only problem I’ve had with it so far is after firmware update it’s compass went to err status and wouldn’t work at all. I’m very satisfied with the customer service at ATN I called them on a Friday morning and I didn’t wait more than two or three minutes before Kenny Acres was on the line and helping me sort out my issue. He told me it was a software problem that was being sorted out and sent me a simple procedure to fix the problem, I definitely give customer service an A+

This scope has lots of Bells and Whistles. After mounting it on my AR-15 and familiarizing myself with it, I now understand that in daylight the scope only sees thermal images, not quite the view that I thought it would be, but still a good sharp view. The scope feels solid, not a lightweight plastic optic. Medical issues have left me as mostly a one handed shooter so I have the AR setup on a good quality tripod. When sighting in the scope; I find that the focus is critical at each distance. I was on the paper at 10 yards, backed up to 50 yards and had to refocus the front lens, I moved to 75 yards, refocused and again at 100 yards. Realizing the need to continually focus because of the unknown distance of an approaching target would be difficult with two hands. I sighted it in at 4.5 power for all distances. I do not know if the technique would be to focus on the target and then zoom the magnification in or out to keep it in view; does that maintain focus? I did zoom up to 18 power and found that zero was maintained but the pixelation at 18 power was not useable for me. Maybe if I was targeting something at a range greater than 100 yards it would look better?? I doubt it. I do not see any value in the built in range finder, the new optional range finder accessory looks like it is more useful for those that use the information. The "Oneshot Zero" worked well. i found that I had to correct it at each distance from my target upto 100 yards. So far I have only used the "black hot" view. In Minnesota with snow on the ground there is good differentiation of thermal objects in black hot. I will have to play around with some of the settings as time goes on.The built in rechargeable battery appears to add value. I am still using it from the first charge and there is plenty of battery remaining. The scope is sold without lens covers, ATN's website might sell them. I will purchase lens covers for this scope, it is too expensive to not take care of it. I am sure that I will enjoy using this scope, I may have paid for more "bling" than I will ever use, maybe the lower priced scope offered by ATN would have been a scope more fitting to my abilities. At 70 years old with 1 good hand and the other just a helping hand it would be great to just point and shoot! No fiddling around.

I have used the X-Sight 4K scope before, but recently upgraded to the Thor 4 thermal scope and couldn't be happier. Any predators couldn't hide in the bushes or grass from the thermal vision. The internal battery has lasted all night during hunts. I also like the scope focus knob and the fact the zoom is now a wheel not push button. Great thermal scope for the money with a lot of affordable features.
