This mount will not fit it's designed application. The clamp rail is too wide and will not tighten up on the rifle rail. There is a review from 2013 that has the same info. No improvements. I suggested this product to be discontinued to prevent more dissatisfied costumers.

Riser was a good height amd the unit seems rigid enough. The mounting clamp is wider than the picatinny rail on my receiver, so I had to file a bunch of material off one side of the mount so the clamp plate could actually compress against the receiver picatinny rail. Also, reliefs cut into the picatinny lugs weren't deep or wide enough; the 42mm objective lens housing on my NcStar 3-9×42 scope still bound up against the picatinny lugs, so I had to file a few of those wider and deeper. I made it work because I didn't have time to return it and get a new one, but I am disappointed.Pros: Basic, good heightCons: Did not fit rail, 42mm objective binds against lugs
