I was very pleased with the item. I was able to use them for spotting rifle shots on my targets at 150 yards. It was a Little difficult holding them still but we were abe to see the hits from a 300 win mag.

They are great Binoculars for the price and they perform well. When I got mine they had failed to include the tri pod adapter so I called optics planet and they contacted barska and they promptly sent the adapter which took about a week. My only other complaint would be that the low light performance falls off pretty quick. I have yet to try them for close range detail quality but I am sure it will be acceptable. The detail is good enough to identify the type of tree in a treeline at a mile or so away though I had trouble focusing the view to complete clarity. That could be due to my inexperience with using high power binoculars. I am well pleased with them as they are perfect for my needs. I highly recommend them.Pros: high specification with low costCons: low light performance is less than inspiring

I was disappointed with these binoculars. I wanted to replace a pair of Tasco ZIP 10×50, with something that had more versatility. These binoculars can't focus on the same objects that I can see clearly with the fixed 10x binos, and at ~20-30x, they become very finicky with what you can focus on. I would say that the limited focus on these is a deal-braker. Almost nothing is ever in the right focal plane to be seen clearly, making them not any more useful than my pair of fixed 10x binos. The eyecup manual focus adjuster goes out of alignment when you change the magnification, and it's not clearly marked, so it's not easy to reset accurately. The construction on these feels very cheap. The lens caps don't stay on, and the objective lenses on these are screwed in to what looks like adhesive thread tape of some sort. This results in them having a VERY cheap appearance. My ~20 year old Tascos look and feel fantastic in comparison.I'm going to maybe invest in a good fixed 16x or 20x set instead.
