My Burris Eliminator IV was delivered on 17 February 2021. Best purchase decision I've made for my future as a hunter in many years. I've followed the Eliminator series ever since its inception in 2010. After 10 years of development, I was comfortable with stepping into the next generation of Hunting Scopes. The glass is extremely clear and the reticle is pragmatic. Programming the scope is logical and efficient. The construction of the scope feels solid and durable. I have my Eliminator IV on a Savage Stealth 300 Winchester Magnum. I have about 40 rounds with this scope and I'm hitting targets from 100 to 600 yards with extreme consistency and accuracy. The scope will come with batteries, a sunshade, cleaning cloth, and paraphernalia for scope mounting. There are plates to accommodate 10,20,and 30 MOA base rails but I decided to install a Zero MOA base rail which is needed for an accurate Zero. The Burris Forever Warranty that covers the entire scope and electronics is a "No Brainer" when it come to purchase. If you are a "meat in the freezer" hunter that wants to be able to make ethical kill shots beyond 200 yards, This Is The Answer!! Desert hunters ,like myself, have tremendous exposure. Long range shots are a must for a successful harvest depending on the hunt tag.

I purchased this for a Savage 308 I had purchased. This scope is awesome. After bore sighting then sighting at 200 yards then I programmed the bullet to the scope. However programming was a bit difficult has to the Hornady Black didn’t have the information I needed. Problem solved with one quick call to customer service turned Burris. Customer service was very helpful. After programming I placed 3 rounds down range at 300 yards. All three were touching on paper

It wasn't quite clear how far the scope would actually calculate a solution for and was reading that it was shorter than what the round is capable of. Reaching out to Burris Customer Service, I was wondering what my maximum ballistic calculation is for my 300 PRC using 225 ELD. I was told by Burris it will only calculate out to 850-900 yards. Not sure what the point of ranging out so far is if it won't support a platform capable of using that distance. I've asked if I can somehow compensate for different rail elevations and am waiting to hear back. I was told to find a normal scope if I wanted to shoot beyond that range.

No card for the ammo I plan to use so I could set it up. Will wait until Spring before going outside to test it out.

Everyone has different shooting capabilities and opinions on the definition of an "ethical shot". I believe this tool can aide any hunter to improve their odds of a successful harvest.
