Love this scope and have to agree the battery cap is a pain to open. I found if you use one of those thin rubber disc's you use to open jar lids works great. Hold the dial in one hand and turn the cap with the jar lid disc, it takes a little patience but it will slowly turn and you wont scratch anything up.

Looked at this and the vortex strike eagle. The features of this scope are better than the competition. The illumination dial has off positions between each setting, which is great if you need the rifle in a hurry, it lets you leave it where you want it instead of running it from off every time. The reticle is clear and usable. Glass is excellent for the price point. Setting up the scope is easy and precise, the turrets don’t click so pay attention to the marks. The one problem is you may need help replacing the battery (it’s cap has a good seal and doesn’t come loose) if you can’t open it you may need to call a man with strong hands to help you, LOL. Over all a great scope and performs great. Best in the niche category.

I've had this scope for about a year. I like it. It's got generous eye relief, fantastic glass, and the illuminated reticle is daylight bright. What I don't like about this scope is that it doesn't come with scope caps, the dials don't click and it's incredibly hard to "reset" the counter on them. I've also had an issue with the scope not holding zero terribly well, but it's only usually an inch worth of adjustment I need to do.

I got this with the Fastfire III attachment on top. Only took 20 rounds to sight it in at 50 yards. It is built solid and easy to mount and use. The reason for the star being taken away is max distance on this scope would be about 75 yards max. It is NOT for medium to long distance shots like I thought it would be. When researching this people stated you can scope up top 200yds which that is NOT true at all if you want to actually hit the middle of your target. The fastfire is great and works awesome, it has 3 levels of brightness. The illumination on the scope has 10 levels of brightness but you wont use that in daytime, but still cool feature. It took me a min to find the focus, there isn't really a ring, you just turn the eyepiece edge, it's not stated in manual or marked on the scope. All in all I'm satisfied, but for over $500 I expected more and was hoping the scope would be better.
