Nice scope for the money. It is clear and bright in low light. Just what I wanted for a squirrel hunting scope.Mounted it in Burris Rings on an old good shooting Mossberg 22. 5 shots to get it zeroed just right. Come September it will be put to good use in the Squirrel woods.

I bought my first Bushnell Banner 4-12×40 A.O. Scope back in 1985. It is still on the Remington 700 ADL .270 rifle that it was purchased for. Have bought 4 since that time. They are mounted on the following rifles. Remington 700 BDL .270, Ruger American .270, Mosin Nagant Tula 7.62x54R, and my buddies Remington 700 ADL .270. They are all used for deer hunting in the hills of West Virginia. I have made clean kills with them from 25 to 380 yds. That latter is the furthest shot I’ve ever taken as most shot scenarios in the hills where I hunt do not require super long shots. My main go to gun is the 700 BDL. It has endured many falls and drops on the slick terrain of the W.V. hills. It has even been knocked over onto concrete while leaning against a picnic table. It holds zero to the extent that in the 20 years that I have owned it it has required no more than 1-2 clicks on the adjustment knobs to bring back to a 100 yd. zero even after the spills. (My 100yd. groups by the way are around 1.5” – 2” with factory corelokts in all but the Mosin Nagant which is closer to 3” with Prvi but I attribute that to the gun not the scope.) Most years it doesn’t even get checked. It is a great dusk scope as 80% of all my kills have been in the last 30 minutes of regulation hunting times, which is a half hour before sunset where I hunt. My buddies 700 ADL has even taken a Colorado elk at 280 yds with this scope. With the performance I have had I can not justify spending 5 or 6 times the amount on a high end scope that will be beat up like these have. Especially since these have never failed me. I plan to buy another soon for my new .450 Bushmaster AR-15. Good luck and good hunting.
