I used several types of mid range cost NV sets to include head set goggles doing security on night shifts for various areas belonging to the US military and at a government contractor's property. Both had risks from wildlife including bear and poachers using high power rifles and using rifle mounted NV scopes. I was able to use this set especially by turning off the IR active and spotting the poachers using their IR active that led me to them like flashlights! These areas were most often mainly moonlight only, very remote and dark. I still keep this set by the bed to be able to scan outside the windows and walk my house in darkness. A small Photon 2 keychain light in actual Infra Red comes in very handy as well as a red LED Photon for changing batteries and handling the NV sets w/o being spotted nor losing your eyes' night vision! One night I was able to dodge a very large Momma black bear and her three cubs using this very scope to flatten next to my security vehicle and view from outside the door unnoticed. The four passed me within 20 yards! Simple care of avoiding bright light to your sensitive light gathering lenses is an easy practice to get into, especially with the red Photon attached to each set.

Much better than I had expected! great night vision and day vision. I would recommend for anyone needing to see at night whether it’s across the yard or hunting in the field. They give you a very good view, no problem identifying targets.

Purchased on sale to try out. Pretty decent for the price point. On a tight budget and want to add sone NV to your gear, it's a good choice. You can get a good amount of time out of the batteries if you're using an external illumination source. The built in does put out a significant amount of IR, but it does suck up the juice. Use it sparingly. I've run down the power with a steady use of the IR for 35-45 minutes straight just to see how long it would last.

I sent in binoculars that had a lifetime warranty. I spent 18 dollars to have them shipped to repairer. No only did they not repair them they came back more damaged than when I sent them in. They don't stand behind their products and so I will never buy from them again. I want other to know so you don't find yourself in this situation.
