Having used other Tripods I got this one and it's easy to use. The quick Release Plate a little odd and small but in time I will learn how to attach the telescope with the Quick Release plate onto the Tripod. One thing I like about the Celestron Hummingbird Tripod is no hand crank. All I have to do is losen the Column Knob and when I get my disired height tighten the column Knob. when I attach my Telescope to the Celestron Hummingbird Tripod I always hear the click. All in all this is a great Tripod to use.

I like the Tripod lots. It was very easy to order and was delivered very fast and I thought the cost was well worth the product. I will do business with Optic Planet again in the future. I am using the Tripod to hold my Spotting Scope.

Having many Tripods I will use the Celestorn Hummingbird Fast Action Pan / Tilt Head Tripod with my Orion GoScope III Telescope. All I know is htat this particular Tripod since I got it from Celestorn as a replacement tripod works excellently. The one thing I like about the Tripod is if I have to raise it I twist the Central Column Control Knob and I raise it to my desired height. One thing I noticed is there is no hand crank to raise it or lower the Telescope. I am so glad I got an extra Quick Release Plate for this particular Tripod. One thing I do want to mention is that this Tripod is lighter to use and not too heavy. My other Tripod which is the Celestron AstroMaster is a little heavy. I also like the storage bag that came with the Tripod I cna store it in the carry bg if I want to which is optional, but I prefer leaving the legs extended and put it in my closet store the Telescope the Orion GoScope III Telescope in it's backpack and I am really happy I got the Extra Quick Release Plate from Celestron. I like this Tripod very much it's excellent.
