Todd –
I needed a more powerful scope for shooting out past 300 yards with my 5.56. I did not want to spend the 2,000 plus on the high level spotting scopes out there so I began looking at the reviews for the more moderately prices ones. I was skeptical at first because I was not sure what the reviewers were comparing things to. and exactly how much definition I would actually be able to see. So I was not expect a great deal. I am very happy to say that I am very pleased with the results. If you are expecting to see the same optic quality as a high level German scope or a Nightforce scope you will be disappointed but then again there is a reason you are paying 2000 plus for that level. I can tell you that I could easily make out the bullet placements at 300 and 400 yards. The quality of the scope is well within reason and preforms very well for what I have intended it to be. The sun shade works well and the bag it comes with works good as a layer of protection while the scope is mounted to a tripod. I am very happy that I purchased this spotting scope and would do so again.
