A good scope for the money. I use it for long range shooting up to 1000 yards. I can see bullet holes in a target up to 300 yards out. I can clearly see the bullet markers at 1000 yards. Not the best, but darn good.Pros: Very clear up to about 40-50 powerCons: front heavy, a little fuzzy at 60 power.

This is my second attempt to get a usable spotting scope without having to mortgage the ranch. I was very pleasantly surprised. I bought a "good" window mount and I have no problems resolving 223 holes at 200 yards on high power. My last one was so dark at high power you couldn't resolve at 100 yards. I recommend it.Pros: Clear with good light transmissionCons: Tripod is a waste of time

I retuned a much lesser priced spotting scope for the Celestron Ultima 80 and am very, very pleased. The image bright and very sharp from the 20 x right to the 60x with no detectable loss of light. I have looked through scopes costing small fortunes and did not see any better (to my eyes) than through this scope. Can't say enough. Easy to operate and looks well made.

I had owned another Celestron 80 Ultima which unfortunately has been knocked over by accident one to many times at our beach condo. We lost the receipt so could not get a free repair or replacement. We have enjoyed the clarity of the spotting scope so much we bought another (and kept several copies of the receipt). The clarity is so good that we saw two of our friends on the beach among hundreds of beachgoers and were able to call them on their cell and ask why they were carrying certain objects. They were 1.2 miles away!Pros: good quality, LIFETIME WARRANTY, 66X ZoomCons: NONE

You can spend over a grand on a scope if you so desire. I had a Simmons that would not see 223 at 100 yards. I sold it and bought this one. Seemed to have good reviews. I can easily see 223 at 200 yards no problem. If you want photo quality sharpness at 500 yards then go spend a grand. I can not say how it preforms past 200 yards as we don't have anything longer at any range nearby. But out to 200yds it is great. Even if you don't use shootnc targets you can see 223 on paper. Don't let the people who want to over spend just so they can say how much their glass cost at the range. A fool and their money.
