The CT RAD Micro Pro (Rapid Aiming Dot) Electronic Sight is an ultra-compact Open Reflex Sight for compact and subcompact pistols. Featuring a red 3 MOA aiming dot, the CT RAD Micro Pro has a recessed and fully multi-coated lens with a large quick acquisition window. The CT RAD Micro Pro comes with the CT RADIANT Ambient Light Sensor that automatically adjusts the aiming dots brightness to the surrounding lighting condition. The CT MOTION Sensor detects movement of the firearm and automatically turns the reflex sight on. The sight powers off after 2 minutes of zero movement. The Micro is easily installed on an optics cut slide using the CT micro footprint that is also compatible with the Shield RMS and JPoint footprints. The Micro has a rear sight notch cut into the back to line up with your front iron sight. Made of 7075 Series Aerospace Aluminum, it is 30% stronger than most industry standard sights made with 6061 Series Aluminum. The entire CT RAD family has an Innovative top strap design that deflects force if the sight is dropped. Our engineers developed a better way to reduce stress on the lens of reflex sights. By combining out-of-the-box thinking with next-level physics, we designed a system that both re-enforces your optic and reduces stress if it happens to get dropped. All this comes with our CRIMSON Protect Lifetime Warranty. Overall, this China made red dot sight seems to work very well. One word of warning though. The battery that came with it failed in about two weeks after installing it. After a closer look at the battery, it appears to be a cheaply made knock off. Made of metal that is marked with, I assume, Chinese and English writing with no English name of manufacture. The metal is dull in appearance, not bright, and is dented. Replaced it with a Duracell and it now works fine.I notified Crimson Trace about the problem and got a thanks I'll pass it along response.

I really like this red dot so far; pretty easy to adjust, install was very easy, red dot is easy to see. The primary thing I don’t like (which probably isn’t their fault to be fair) is that I can’t fully see the iron sights when installed, I can see about 2/3rds of it. When I see it’s a Micro I do personally expect to see the full factory sights given they are a backup if battery dies. Overall I am a fan and would recommend it to someone else with a Hellcat given the Wasp is no longer made. The physical design is also a bit obscure which I really like personally, the futuristic thing is cool.

Works like you would expect it to from CT. Very happy with my purchase. Accuracy on my S&W Shield is VERY good. Fit perfectly without a plate. I would definitely recommend.

My shield plus shipped with a CTS 1550 red dot which worked well enough, but the thin plastic housing didn't give me much faith that it would survive even mild abuse, so I figured I would give this a go as an upgrade. I haven't seen many reviews for this anywhere so figured I would toss this out.- Fit and finish are excellent, very well machined and the battery contacts are significantly improved from the CTS 1550 leading me to think they have learned a lot from their early designs.- Installation and sighting in was painless and quick. – Red dot has been crisp and easy to pick up and the forward facing light sensor has done an excellent job of adjusting to every lighting condition I have thrown at it. Pitch black, indoors night with 1000 lumen flashlight, outdoors bright sunlight have been no issue at all.- It feels very solid. It's a small form factor which limits durability somewhat (built for thin ccw pistols), but the shroud structure is clearly made with a nod to durability and it is machined out of 7075 aluminum which is quite a bit tougher than the 6061 aluminum or plastic of its competitors. I haven't drop tested it, but I would be very surprised if it isn't the toughest of the micro red dots that fit the RMScc profile. – Only 200 rounds through it so far, but no issues with holding zero or reliability. We'll see about long term reliability of the optic after a couple thousand rounds, but so far it seems surprisingly excellent for a very reasonable price.

Got the Rad Pro Micro for my Shield Plus. Fit perfectly, I like the sight in general, but the auto dimming is WAY too aggressive in the dark. In a dark indoor room, you CAN NOT see the dot. There's no manual brightness, so there's nothing you can do to increase the brightness, so the sight is useless indoors in the dark. Good thing my pistol has night sights.

Found this unit on sale here. It did get lost in the mail (free shipping) but eventually got here. I mounted it on my Ruger Max-9. The screws that came with it were too short but I had some that worked from other projects. Took it to the range and zeroing it was a breeze. It functions flawlessly and is a hoot to shoot with. Seems to hold zero well. No complaints here.
