The CT RAD Micro Pro (Rapid Aiming Dot) Electronic Sight is an ultra-compact Open Reflex Sight for compact and subcompact pistols. Featuring a green 5 MOA aiming dot, the CT RAD Micro Pro has a recessed and fully multi-coated lens with a large quick acquisition window. The CT RAD Micro Pro comes with the CT RADIANT Ambient Light Sensor that automatically adjusts the aiming dots brightness to the surrounding lighting condition. The CT MOTION Sensor detects movement of the firearm and automatically turns the reflex sight on. The sight powers off after 2 minutes of zero movement. The Micro is easily installed on an optics cut slide using the CT micro footprint that is also compatible with the Shield RMS and JPoint footprints. The Micro has a rear sight notch cut into the back to line up with your front iron sight. Made of 7075 Series Aerospace Aluminum, it is 30% stronger than most industry standard sights made with 6061 Series Aluminum. The entire CT RAD family has an Innovative top strap design that deflects force if the sight is dropped. Our engineers developed a better way to reduce stress on the lens of reflex sights. By combining out-of-the-box thinking with next-level physics, we designed a system that both re-enforces your optic and reduces stress if it happens to get dropped. All this comes with our CRIMSON Protect Lifetime Warranty. I first order in back in mid November and the one sent was defective, inserting the battery correctly did not light the dot so I replaced the battery included with the sight with a fresh battery and still no joy so I returned it and O P sent a replacement which I mounted this past weekend.Went to the range today to sight it in and my co witness is 75 % with factory sights and shot on some IPSC cardboard targets, which improved my times and I'm in Luv with it.My previous dot was a Shield with a 3 minute dot versus the CT's 5 minute, which I credit for my improved times,Luv it, now I have to purchase another for my milled G 43 X,darn.

I purchased this green dot under the promise that it allows you to co-witness with the Hellcat Pro iron sights and thanks to the rear notch, you arr able to. That being said, this optic has an auto-dimming feature that is still a bit too bright (even under complete darkness). It may be because it's a 5 MOA (I am used to a 3 MOA optic), but anyhow, I tried to cover the sensor to see the difference in brightness levels, and the sensor lies at dead center under the glass window (as a comparison, the Swampfox Sentinnel has it on the side so you can cover it with a finger and see the difference, although it does not allow a co-witness with the Hellcat sights). Unlike other reviews where they say it turns off under darkness, I've tested mine after hours of being locked, and it seems to stay on at all times. I have yet to take it to the range, so no word on its performance there, but so far, I would say that if co-witnessing is a high priority, this could be a good option over the Swampfox; otherwise, I would take the Swampfox over it due to a more noticeable auto-dimming and a smaller dot footprint.

This Dot has auto brightness. In a dark room it will not turn on! If this is a nightstand gun this sight is worthless until you turn on a light. if not, its a great sight. Very affordable and solid. it turned my 30' targets from 4-6" groups down to 2-3". The green dot works very well with my old eyes. I Like it so much I ordered 2.

I was extremely excited to get this optic for my Hellcat which is a little hard to line up the front night sight with the unlit rear U sight at night. (If you have a Hellcat you know what I'm talking about.) Got it on sale here at OP for $188. The installation went super smooth, the sight is well made, no glue marks on the lens like every single Holosun has, and the lens is actually pretty clear. While pointing it around in broad daylight, the green dot actually looks like a green dot and not an astigmatic star and looks awesome and super crisp. I was very disappointed however when I walked into my dark bedroom at night. I thought the battery abruptly died. I couldn't find the green dot at all. When I walked back into my lit up hallway, it gradually ramped up brightness back to normal. I went out into my backyard, and the same thing happened, the darker it got, the dimmer the green dot got until it disappeared. I then started reading Amazon reviews on this optic and when I sorted to the most recent ones, 4 different people had this same issue (could just be a bad batch). It looks like the battery saver feature on this optic ramps down the brightness way too much in total darkness down to the point where it isn't visible at all. I don't really see the purpose of it getting that dim when it has an auto off feature and shake awake (which works pretty good). If a home intruder breaks in in the middle of the night, I want a nice green dot ready to go. This optic obviously can't be used for low light defensive purposes which was the only reason I bought it. Even my cheaper CTS 1550 is visible at night on it's lowest brightness setting. I'm going to contact Crimson Trace about this issue, if they don't reply/resolve by the time my OP return period is about to expire, then my only option will be to return it. I really wanted to love this optic.
