I did not know much about EAW prior to buying these EAW Classic Blue Line Roll Of Mounts. From research, I found out that they are a very well known and respected company overseas, known for their leading innovations. For example, their new 3D-Printed Scope Mounts. I am very impressed with the engineering and precision of the components that are used in these mounts. These Classic mounts lock evenly to form a solid base for, both, my scout and traditionally mounted scopes. The upper rings are slightly sprung to insure excellent surface contact to the scope tube. The inside diameter of, both, the top and bottom rings have grooves to facilitate the use of liquid tape, which has been shown to keep your scope maintaining zero, especially with high recoil calibers. A thin smear of 3M Scotchkote and the grooves take up any excess. This worked well on my Marlin 45-70 Guide with the XS Lever Rail and I plan to use this same set up on a Marlin 35 Rem, as well. They are easy to mount using a T25 and T15 T handle then a Fat Wrench to torque Ring screws to 14-18 inch pounds (1.6-2.0 NM) and Clamp screw to 22 inch pounds (2.5 NM). You will need to use some chop sticks or welding rods to slightly "unspring" the top ring during mounting to avoid marring your scope. Note: This is easily done.Overall, at this price, these are hands down the best bang for the buck that I've, ever, gotten from a scope mount. A big thanks to Optic Planet for carrying these mounts and for the great service and fast shipping.RLTW
