When it comes to Rifle Scopes, the Helix 4 – 16 x 44m from Element Optics is a top-of-the-line option for medium- and long-range shooting. Developed with consistency and performance in mind, this First Focal Plane (FFP) rifle scope is made from aircraft-grade aluminum to ensure it is durable and lightweight. The tool-free turrets that allow you to adjust for windage, distance, and elevation use stainless steel internal components, ensuring they remain stable and accurate even after years of use. Using clear, strong glass, Element Optis is dedicated to offering high-end features without breaking the bank. That’s what makes the FFP reticle so useful, as it allows the reticle to remain static and calibrated no matter the magnification you are using. This helps you maintain accurate groupings at range, ensuring each shooting session is effective and beneficial. This scope is a well-made and reliable optic that offers great value for its price point. It has a robust and durable construction that feels like a high-end product. The glass quality is impressive for a scope in this price range and when compared side by side with other more expensive scopes I have from big name companies, this one holds it's own. I always love the first focal plane reticle so that the reticle stays true to size and offers accurate holdovers at any magnification. The eye relief can be a bit finicky, especially at higher magnifications. I have a large head and wear a strong glasses prescription, and adjusting my positioning to get a clear eye box took a little more effort than usual, however, this is a minor issue that can be easily overcome with a bit of practice.Overall, the Element Optics Helix 4-16 is a great optic that offers a lot of features for its price point. It's durable, reliable, and easy to use, making it a great option for a wide range of shooting applications.

Picked this scope up on Dvor for a great price. Put it on a CZ527 in 223 Rem and it's perfect. Images are clear throughout the entire magnification range. Tracks like it should, turret clicks are audible and precise and the zero-stop is easily set and or changed. After sighting in and shooting a few groups, I shot a different rifle that has an Arken SH4 Gen2 on it. The difference in image quality was so apparent that now I'm looking to replace the Arken with an Element Helix in 6-24×50. It was a night and day difference and they're similarly priced. So if you're reading this, buy from Element and don't look back.

Helix APR-1C MOA 2-16×50 SFP has a super intuitive reticle. Very well thought out. I like that you don't need any tools to adjust the turret too. The reticle is illuminated and the scope has a lifetime warranty.

I bought this scope to put on my varmint rifle. The reticle and turrets made zeroing the rifle super easy just count the MOA in the scope and then adjust the turret based on those numbers! It was the perfect zoom range for my needs and the reticle is crisp and the glass is super clear.

For the price point its hard to beat, its not too heavy, clear glass, it tracks really well and the turrets punch above the price point. Don't see myself getting rid of this scope , it just works WELL.

Element Helix with the MOA tree style reticle is my initial foray into the First Focal Plane Rifle Scope arena. Every Element Optics Rifle Scope comes with a heavy foam lined box you will want to keep along with an impressive library of educational material. The majority of this material is viewable with any internet connected smart device that has a working camera. Most importantly, there are videos explaining the how and why of proper scope torquing. You can navigate to these videos here: https://element-optics.com/videos/ This link provided by Element Optics also has specific videos to assist in rifle scope purchase decision making, making it easier for end users to mate their rifle scopes to specific use cases. That being said, my rifle scopes generally end up being moved around from time to time (especially when considering new purchases) so I can get a feel for different rifle scopes on different rifle platforms along with experiencing different locations and conditions, ideally.I have used the Helix in multiple ring setups and haven’t had any issues going back and forth throughout the elevation, windage, and parallax ranges during testing, most of which has happened within 15-50 degrees Fahrenheit. The adjustments feel great when clicking through the range and any hangup with the covers was easily remedied with silicone lubricant, which is what I have on hand for Pre-Charged Pneumatic Rifles (my rifle scopes are shared among powder and PCP rifles). I like to use silicone lubricant on all Pre-Charged Pneumatic Rifle related gear for safety reasons (other chemicals can combust during the PCP rifle firing process). Element Optics takes pride in their strict manufacturing tolerances with these turrets. Rifle scopes within this price range are expected to have up to 6% of "play" (Element Optics tested a Helix here with a perfect score of 0%: https://youtu.be/_29vk1ndHPQ) in the movement of the turrets, which results in POI shift over time while using the rifle scope's elevation and windage adjustment turrets. This can be tested on the range with ammo a variety of ways, by using a collimator, or by using a vice and aligning with a real target while verifying the rifle scope's ability to track through the range. Feel free to test this out for yourself and report your findings back here! Many Air Rifle enthusiasts will grab this particular scope for their first rifle, which is what I did. Be aware that the next best PCP Rifle Scope on the market is the Element Optics Titan 3-18×50 FFP. It has illumination and a 34mm tube for more light transmission to your eye (brighter picture, especially at 3x). I just purchased one to do a review of the Titan series of rifle scopes (I have a few hundred pellets through the 5-25×56 FFP version), which I am just now starting to get a feel for. It should be noted that .25" of eye relief is sacrificed in making the jump from the Helix 4-16×44 FFP to either a Helix 6-24×50 or a Titan 3-18×50 FFP rifle scope. I have a longer neck and always try to shoot with eye protection and subsequently have issues with eye relief when it comes to rifle scope use. Luckily there is a wide assortment of rings available (I am testing many myself near term) to find the sweet spot for any use case.Bias Alert: I have applied to FX's Ambassador program because I have a newfound love for Element Optics Rifle Scopes, FX Pellets, and FX PCP Rifles.
