I have this on my marlin 1895 sbl 45-70 kicks like a 12g and keeps its zero. Metal casing and coating is well done and solid. The change between reticles and brightness is nice. The bad, the redicle is not crisp at high brightness and the lowest illumination selction is still very bright in low ambient light(early morning, before sundown). The sight is pretty tall, adds about an inch on top of the rail. Had to get a cheek riser to make a compfortable cheeck weld.

This is a really good reflex sight for the price. It holds zero well, is accurate, and easy to use. This sight is pretty good out to 100M to put you on the paper without a magnifier. I have a number of these. Most of the complaints I have seen are due to battery issues being not tightened or cheap batteries. Definitely a good purchase when compared to other reflex sights under $100. I have not used this on a high recoil weapon. This is an excellent option for CQB or someone with poor eyesight.

After about 200 rounds the reticle started disappearing after every shot. I know you get what you pay for but I was expecting more than a one range day service life. Guess it’s a good beginner to see if you like this style of optic.

Bought this optic at my local sporting wear house for a good price (~60$) but was very disappointed in the product that I received. Very easy to install and zero however after only roughly 200 rounds the optic began to malfunction (mounted on my AR-15). The sight brightness/adjustment knob became very loose and thus the reticle would cut in and out after every few rounds. After attempting to tighten the knob, reticle was still hit or miss. I did not expect a long life-span for the price but 200 rounds seemed a bit short to me. This is the second Firefield optic that I had purchased and neither of them have lasted for more than 200-250 rounds. It seems as if they are not built for AR-15 recoil as they reticle goes out after a short amount of time. Overall, was just a waste of money. It looks nice of the weapon system but is not practical at all. Unless you are using the weapon system as a trophy on the wall or for pure looks, I do not recommend. If you are planning on using this brand for a lower caliber than .223/5.56 then it might be worth a shot. With that being said, would not advise for any AR use. you are best served to just save a little more money and go with a higher quality optic.
