I had at first bought a Vortex Crossfire II from my local dealer but returned 2 days later when I could not get it to sight in at 25 yards. no matter where I turn the turrets I ran out of adjustment. This is on my Ruger 10/22. So I was looking for another 2-7×32 scope when I came across the Hawke 2-7×32 Mil Dot. scope. It had good reviews so I thought I give it a chance. The scope came quickly from OP with no problems there. When I got to the range today I decided to sight this in at 50 yards. I was on paper right away but could not get it come up no matter where I turned the turrets. That's when I noticed that the turrets were reversed from the factory. The Up and Down was Right and Left and the Right and Left was Up and Down. I changed out the turret caps to correct the problem and then life was good. Got on paper quickly . Shot a nice group at 100 yards using Remington Golden 22LR 40 gn bullets. A 3 to 5 inch group. I am very pleased with this scope after I made the corrections to the turrets. The glass is clear and bright edge to edge. It has good eye relief with good field of view . So much with it at full magnification at 100 yards at my target and I could see a deer's head pop up from behind the berm at the 100 yard before I was going to take a shot. I would gave 5 stars if it were not for the turret problem. I would buy this scope again. I do recommend it.

For the price, this one is will be very hard to beat. The glass is stellar and of superior quality compared to others in this price range. The finish is even and looks wickedly slick. The turret caps, once removed are super easy to get started back on. The turret clicks are very noticeable and precise. AO is very easy to dial in the focus. Will be getting another Hawke scope.

I mounted the Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 2-7×32 scope on a Benjamin 392.The gun was allways very accurate but my eyes are getting pretty bad. This scope made all yhe difference in the world. Put the fun back in shooting.
Airgun fun –
I bought this scope for a powerful gas piston air rifle that is very hard on scopes. I have another scope just like it on another similar air rifle. I have had these scopes mounted on these air rifles for a while now, with several thousand shots to their credit. These scopes have done a good job of withstanding the harsh double recoil such air rifles produce, which can really destroy low quality scopes. While not the very best optical quality, they are above average and quite clear, especially compared to some scopes that are much more expensive that I have owned over the years. I consider this scope a good value for the all-around quality you get at this price level. The adjustments seem to work well and seem fairly accurate. They do tend to settle after the first adjustments are made and after a few shooting sessions, but after a few additional minor adjustments they seem very stable. Note that for spring piston and gas piston air rifles, you definitely need good solid mounts for any scope. I can't emphasize that last point enough. No scope will stay stable on such air rifles without good mounts, mounted tightly and correctly.

This is a great scope for the price. It’s strong, stable, clear and shock-proof (I’ve dropped my rifle to the ground and the scope held zero!) However….the reticle mil dot but the adjustments are in MOA, which requires some mathematics. Also, the mil dot reticle is designed for 10 power magnification but this only goes to 7. So you have to set the scope on 5 power magnification and double the value of the mil dots. More mathematical considerations. My advice is to buy the standard reticle and you will be happy with your Hawke Vantage scope for many years.

My first Hawke was the 2-7×32 IR with 30/30 cross. I have been hunting whitetail in Wisconsin for 25 years and have owned Leoupold VX-1-3's, Nikons, Weaver, Burris, Bushnell elites, Vortex and others I will no longer speak of… The scopes I listed are all great in different areas, but some were $500+ optics. This little Hawke is more clear than my VX1's and on par with the grand slams and elite 4200's. The scope is also very bright. On par with the higher priced nikons. I was so impressed that my last three optics have all been Hawke. I never had to use the warrenty program so I cant comment there. If I ever need it and they treat me right I will be a fan forever.
