Good quality. Best part is that it doesnt have the ugly HOLOSUN logo in white like other models. Optic body feels more quality than optics that are 3times more expensive. Only downside is the battery cap. Screws on it will wear down ifnyou tighten few times. It comes with two tho. But i am worried i wont be able to unscew to take the cap off next time i change the battery.

Absolutely worth every penny. I set this bad boy on a new build (Aero Precision M4E1) and it's definitely a nessesary for preppers trying to stay as close to being away from batteries as it gets aside from buying a Trijicon. 20,000-50,000 hours depending on your setting preference for one battery and then get yourself a 10 pack of batteries from ebay and your set for a long time. In end just do it, put it in your cart and enter those card digits.

Can't go wrong with the 515, I've had it on my 74, and bren 2. It's rugged, and reliable the auto on is great. The solar isn't my favorite so it's been switched off. You won't be disappointed with this optic.

This optic in terms of reliability and price are perfect. Never have I once lost zero, even after years of abuse it's still going strong and the battery life is incredible, haven't changed the battery once! The solar option is a huge bonus as well and has never failed me. 10/10

Got this optic to mount on my AK-74, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. Looks amazing, super solid, super clear glass, awesome battery life…. and of course love the dual reticle. However, I don't care too much for the solar panel or the auto-brightness, but it can be switch to manual, so no biggie.I'd definitely recommend this optic.

I do not own anything in its "class" to compare it to . I looked at the sig romeo 4T and the aimpoint T2 . I ended up going with this one simply for cost . I'm not a contractor or otherwise use it daily to protect other peoples lives so spending $700+ on the aimpoint didnt make sense to me ( for my application) . I shoot a lot . I work from home and have a range in my back yard . So in between jobs and other shenanigans, I probably shoot 2-3000 rounds a month ( I also hand load ) .I think this optic was well thought up designed. You have 2 choices for your reticle. 1 thing I was disappointed on was when in single dot mode, the auto dimming feature doesnt work which was a bummer for me as this was one of the features I bought it for . The auto off/on is great . Thumping the firearm with your finger is enough to turn it back on so you will never draw the weapon fast enough to beat it . I use this on a suppressed SIG Rattler and mp5 clone, also suppressed. The brightness settings dont wash out on the brightest days with the north Carolina sun blaring as hard as it can and the adjustment buttons have a good, solid adjustment . I found it very odd that they are on the right side of the weapon but that doesnt get in the way . I prefer buttons vs wheels ( as long as the adjustment are solid ) so that was another factor when choosing . With my glasses on the dot is clear and stands out .nice and crisp . Running reactive targets like a dueling tree or Texas star were no problem at all . I do wish all of these manufactures would make the "tube" just a little bigger . For me all of them feel like um looking though a tube with both eyes open . To me the frame of the optic should all but disappear with both eyes open but the sleek design does help a lot and after a few boxes of ammo ,it wasnt annoying me anymore ( I like rmr style optics for their great peripheral sight picture ) .the auto dimming , like with ALMOST all of them . If you are in a very dark area and try to get a sight picture in a very bright area ,it will wash out however, you do have the ability to push the up button 1 time and it will bump it up one setting which is awesome . A lot of others dont have that option and they should . I didnt like they battery "tray " at first but I noticed very quickly that it helps in making the body of the optic disappear when targeting , so i get it . You just aren't going to do an in field battery swap unless you happen to keep the tiny provided screwdriver with you at all times . The mount seems ok to me but could be a little more heavy duty . I love quick disconnect and that part works very well .swaping it back and forth from weapon to weapon it has held zero every time . I haven't had to make 1 adjustment since I got it set the day it arrived .the rattler goes with me anytime I'm on the road . So its thrown in and out of my truck, a lot .I cant report on the battery life because I have only had it a few months but I will report back If it is annoyingly less than it should be with a solar panel . I would like to own this for at least a year before I could give it a full nod but it looks, runs and feel like this thing is worth every cent .
