Excellent Optic, great specs and features.My only complaint is that is sits higher than other optics. An Absolute Co-witness Mount will give you a 1/3 Cowitness. Just keep that in mind.These are now issues on Estonia's LMT Rifles along with the HMX3 Magnifier.

I'm running this on a 45 offset with a M4 ACOG, which works very well as both have a kill flash. I thought it would be rather dumb to piggyback a RMR or similar when it'll flash and emit. The optic itself works great and seems very robust and reliable with clear picture and happy medium sized dot (which can be toggled to the big 65 MOA ring if necessary). Spending 3x as much for a T-2 seems like a ripoff to me in comparison. ACOG's are worth that sort of money, but 900 for a dot is rather absurd imo, it's not the 00's anymore. I first tried to snag a titanium version, but it would've taken months, so I cancelled the order and got this one instead. The 7000 series aluminum one is plenty good and saves you the $100.

For under 400$ it is by far one of the best red dots you can get. It has the same footprint as an Aimpoint T2 so shopping for mounts is easy. Great battery life, better lens caps than a Aimpoint T-2. Only down side to the red dot is that it is made in China and has not been used by the military.

Better 7075 aluminum rather than the 6061 aluminum on the older models. Comes with screw on clear flip up caps with a kill flash vs the older dumb bikini protector. You dont actually need to flip up the caps to use the RS if you choose to do soComes with a QD mount that is 1/3 cowitness however you can remove the spacer and have a low QD mount for AKs shotguns CZ Evo MP5 etc

I own EOTechs, Aimpoints, Elcans, Trijicon RMRs, and Vortex red dot sights. While some of the higher-priced brands do stand out against this particular one, I am beyond pleased with the value and quality of the Holosun. This “military” version has blacked-out logo insignia, a killflash, lens protectors, and a nice quick detach system included…well worth the extra cost IMO. One thing I dislike is the external battery mount on the right. DO NOT overtorque the compartment lid or else you will pop out the rubber o-ring gasket and have potential for water or dust to ingress. I much prefer the battery tray models instead of the side-mount, but it works well when you hand-tighten and make sure the ring seals well. The gasket seems like it should be a harder material to hold its shape under pressure from the cap.
