The SCS can potentially operate indefinitely using an internal, rechargeable 20,000-hour battery meaning you will never need to change batteries again. Included is an intensity override function which locks the optic into a high brightness mode for 30 minutes. The SCS fit perfectly on the slide cut out, took less than five minutes to install. Best part is no adapter plate needed which is a cost savings. Green dot works well for my aged vision and dot within the circle is perfectly clear without any dispersion.

Good all around sight system. Co-witenesses with the stock sights. No shake awake, but with such a long internal battery life and solar powered I just leave it on 24/7. Only two brightness levels, but really like the fact its a green recticle and three recticle options built in. Took it to the local range and put a silhouette type target at 25 yards, I shot so well with it that when I pulled the target up to the line several people came over to me to ask what kind of gun I was shooting with to be so accurate.

This Holosun scs is a wonderful green dot and circle dot. Green is so easier to see than the red dot. With my 80 yeras old aging eyes is a complete match.My accuracy improved with this SCS with out any doubt.No longer to worry about dying battery, with the. Solaar charging system it will automaticcaly recharge when under the sun.I installed it by myself in my HK V9 tactical with out any problem.Buy it and you will never regret

With most firearm manufacturers making optics-ready slides a standard feature on their handguns, the debate over whether pistol-mounted reflex sights are useful or not has pretty much been laid to rest. Unfortunately, nobody has been able to settle on a standard optic footprint and almost everything on the market relies on adapter plates to fit. This adds a failure point between the slide and the optic, and generally raises the optic to the point that higher iron sights are needed if you want to cowitness. The Holosun SCS series eliminates that problem by mounting directly to the slide with no plates required, and thus sits low enough that it can be used in conjunction with most standard factory sights. It also does away with batteries by using a solar panel to charge an internal capacitor, as well as to automatically regulate the brightness. Holding down the button on the side cycles between the three reticle options and turns the optic off, and you can press it to bump the brightness up temporarily if you need to. The green LED is set to be plenty bright in most conditions and is remarkably easy to acquire. The window isn't particularly large, but it doesn't need to be; it fits well on top of the slide without sticking out over the side and looking like a television on top of your pistol. Its slim profile, simplicity, and battery-free design make the Holosun SCS ideal as a concealed-carry optic that's always ready to go without significantly increasing the bulk of your handgun or requiring any additional modifications or accessories; provided you own one of the pistols that they make it for.

I waited and waited and waited some more and finally got this sight via OT. Boy was it worth the wait! Full co-witness with suppressor height sights. This thing is sleek and fits the factory slide like a well machined puzzle piece. Clarity of the glass and reticles are up to the Holosun standards. One button operation and with the back up solar charging makes this sight quite possibly the sleekest setup on any of my pistols. This will be great for CCW as it does not significantly increase the profile of the slide in either height or width. I would love to see Holosun offer different objective lens sizes for the SCS line of customized fit sights. I have a VP9 Match slide in which I would like a larger field of view. This thing zeroed easily with the supplied Holosun tools. I would highly recommend this sight!
