To enhance stability while taking a shot, the US Tactical Systems M14 Brookfield Scope Rail Mount is ideal in eliminating any rocking motion under heavy recoil. 4140 chrome-moly steel. Mil-Spec Manganese phosphate finish. The US Tactical System “Brookfield” Scope Mount provides a secure, stable scope base that won’t shift between shots. Rock-solid, three-point mounting system attaches to the factory scope mount screw hole in the receiver and the charger guide dovetail, while the setscrew at the front uses the receiver ring as a stop to prevent forward movement. This enhances the stability, and eliminates any rocking motion under heavy recoil. No drilling or tapping required to install. This US Tactical Systems M14 Mount is constructed out of a solid billet of 4140 steel. The Wire-EDM manufacturing process leaves the finished product completely devoid of stress. Competing designs, lacking in this essential process often result in critical systems failures, due to the heavy recoil of the larger caliber rounds. Wire-EDM manufacturing also allows for the tightest tolerances, and perfect fit on your Classic M14 rifle. I would like to thank Sue for helping me pick this product. Everything that she suggested was CORECT, easy instal. Looked it up on You Tube. Piece of Cake. One thing to consider do not get the aluminum mount, you save a little on wieght but the steel mounts much more Stonger than the aluminum ones. Definitely recommend it.
Awesome one –
I purchased this for my husbands rifle and he is sending it back. There were no instructions with the mount and couldn't find any videos on YouTube. On top of that all the pieces seemed to fit together and to the rifle rather loosely. The bolt on the side that mates up the the hold in the receiver has a very loos fit even if fully threaded. The round piece that bolt goes through to mate up to the receiver doesn't fit in place. There are also tooling marks all over the mount. Circular patterns and straight lines. You can really tell where they milled material away to make this mount.Overall just a disapointing product.
