Before buying the Kite 12×42 binoculars, I tried the Canon IS binos but found them too heavy and lacking in image stabilization. I chose the Kite ones and couldn't be happier. They have excellent ergonomics and their image stabilization is far superior to the Canon models. These are fantastic binoculars for birding and wildlife viewing. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for image-stabilized binoculars. Adam

These are a great upgrade from any non-stabilized binoculars. They are just as light and compact, but I can use them without worrying about stability. I can even scan while in a moving vehicle.
