The KonuShot 3-9x32mm is affordable and dependable as its metal construction was designed to withstand the most extreme environments. Even altitude changes will not cause your KonuShot to fog leak or lose alignment. The KonuShot has coated optics providing great luminosity and a wide field of view. The 3-12x40mm offers a “Four-Times” zoom ratio not typically found on scopes at this price making it the ideal model for marksmanship as well as hunting. Put it on a Henry 17 hmr golden boy. After 150 rounds at 25 yards the best I can get is a 3 inch spray pattern this while the gun is locked in place. The clarity of the optics are less than I hoped for. I can't give this scope a positive review, it's going back to the retailer

I mounted this scope on a Ruger M77 Hawkeye Tactical in .308 Winchester. This is a range only rifle as I have little interest in hunting anymore. I shoot at 100 yards, and the 12x power is plenty. Optics stay bright and clear out to the last bit of light around sundown. After bore sighting, it only took 3 rounds to zero. And that zero holds as long as I don't change up the reloads I shoot. Sure you can spend lots more on a scope, But unless your shooting the latest and greatest magnum rifle at ranges over 250 yards. Don't waste your money.

I used this scope on my R700 and I was very disappointed with it. It took forever to zero it in, and when I figured out why, I was pissed. Every time I shot the reticle would move and turn inside the scope! On top of that the scope was difficult to focus and very blurry at high magnification. All in all, this is a cheap scope for small caliber rifles.Pros: cheapCons: very basic, can't withstand .308 recoil

In our market (NZ/AU), this scope has 3/8" rings to mount it on an airgun or a rimfire, which it suits really well. I changed from a Nikko Sterling Silver Crown 4×32 to this Konus Konushot 3-12×40 and find ita good upgrade on an airgun. Nice feature of finger adjustable turrets without needing a coin to adjust. Clear reticle with good eye relief.I like the 30/30 reticle that I find simple and clear to use compared to complex BDC and illuminated reticles now. Range of magnification at 4x zoom is good too at 3-12×40 that's more flexible than 3-9×40 or 4-12×40 (at 3x zoom).Nicely matt finished tube and coated lenses, with clear and yellow scope caps to look through, and 3/8" rings are nicely finished with felt lining for the scope tube to not scratch it. I think anyone looking to mount this on a centerfire should look at th Konus Pro scope which I also looked at. This has an engraved reticle so it won't move with recoil and it has a BDC reticle for holdover at longer ranges on a centerfire, but not needed for a smallbore.I get a bit fed up of PRC Made in China jibes. I've got Calloway Golf Clubs that are high quality and Made in China. It's just a fact of world trade now that major manufacturers assemble in China as much for capacity as cost reasons. I remember looking wishfully at costly variable scopes Made in Japan in the 1980s that I couldn't afford. This is a good variable scope for the money and is easily as good as Made in Japan 1980s scopes that I couldn't afford way back then.
