Purchased this at the same time I purchased a Burris 4.5-14 X 42 Fullfield II scope. Mounted on a Ruger AR556 MPR. Mount is beefy and solid and allowed plenty of clearance for the 42mm objective lens. The offset allowed for easy viewing on this platform as well. Overall, a solid scope mount that I would recommend.

I had purchased my first of these locally at what seemed like a reasonable price until I found them on here. Very impressed with the quality of these mounts so I ended up using them on pretty much all of my setups. I also ordered the red and blue ones and the anodizing on them is very nice.

This is a well made handsome cantilever scope mount. But even the "High" mount version is about 3/16"-1/4" to low for the AR platform. Large objectives fit but you have to tip your head to the side so much to aquire a good site picture you really are at a disadvantage. Your head should be almost straight up and not have to crunch down so hard to get the Ocular lens centered. I added a 1/2" UTG slim line riser, but that made the scope a tad too high. I switched to another brand that has a higher profile and solved the problem. So,,, Its a great scope mounting system, they just need to raise the center of the rings up another 1/8" at least!

I have not installed this yet, but after getting it out and inspecting it(months after I bought it), I'm disappointed in one area of the mount. The 3 threaded screw ports that are for tightening to pic rail are not thought out well enough in material thickness. It's pretty silly on UTG's part, that they chose to use so very little material for your screws to engage. If this mount fails, it will be in those 3 spots. Sad when the rest of the mount seems to be thought out. It's lightweight, and the rings seem good enough. They seriously are lacking in material though on the 3 mounting screw. I would be very careful to not over tighten, as I predict it will crack at that point. It would not surprise me, if recoil would damage over time either. I'm going to still try it out, but I'm not sure Id recommend this one sadly. Nice price, but silly week point in a area that matters. Wanted to see for myself how it was built for the price point and that is my 2 cents. Maybe choose the Primary Arms mount instead for a budget mount, The Burris PEPR mounts are good, but a bit more heavy if that matters, but way better built. Always looking for a decent made product for less, and I cannot say Id trust this one for the long run, due to the weak points of threads.

I was looking for a mount like this that was light weight and wouldn’t break the bank. It also has a different look that went nicely with my AR build. It has held strong with no issues.
