I thought this would be a good scope for my NRL22 open class setup. The BDC reticle gives me hold points and the 2.5-15x magnification gives me lots of versatility.Image is clear and crisp, side focus knob was a little stiff at first but broke in quickly to be smooth and consistent. Reticle illumination is a center dot only (which I prefer) and on the brightest settings is still discernable in bright sunlight.Magnification ring adjusts smoothly throughout the whole travel. The eye relief is standard but I found the eye box to be a little tight for my liking. After shooting a couple matches with this, I decided that the tight eyebox and second focal plane design were not the best suited for my application so I moved the scope onto my 6.5 Grendel build. It works great for benchrest shooting since the aspects I didn't like mostly apply to positional/competition shooting.

38 rounds on a hard-kicking magnum rifle and this scop will no longer hold zero. Groups went from sum MOA to pie-plate size to not even on the paper. Scope mounts remained tight and unmoving.I can not believe I have to send a $1400 scope back under warranty after 40 rounds.
