Cover works as advertised and does not interfere with the barrel. Highly recommend this cover in order to prevent moisture and dust from getting on the lens of your scope.

Yes, this Leupold Standard EP lens cover does fit the eyepiece (optic end) only end of the RDS Red Dot Sight (RDS 34MM). (If you are buying this lens cover for Leupolds Red Dot Sight, then you need part #59040 for the objective lens end of the sight) which is slightly bigger. Yes, it is more expensive that getting some cheap after market little rubber bungie cord cover, but this lens cover will last you a lifetime and you can pass it on to another generation. I have another set of these flip up alumina lens cover on another Leupold scope and in my opinion they are worth it. They thread into the scope eye piece and softly flip up and close quietly as well. I live and hunt in the Pacific North West where we get more than our share of rain. Nary a problem keep my scope dry and from getting beat up by tree limbs and the heavy brush.

Why do we allow companies to charge ridiculous price. 1 star because you can’t explain a $100 price tag for a 1 lens cover. It’s crazy how we allow companies to charge high prices on products. I’m tired of seeing simple products with high prices tags. Like 250 for a red dot for your pistol or a drop in trigger. Companies can’t explain high price tags when there are more guns in America than people. For a community who has to fight the government to maintain our firearms sure doesn’t treat the shooter fairly. Only caring about the bottom line, their paycheck.

I got on leupold website. Found my model scope for the covers. The chart had both front and back scope covers. Came to optics planet they are the only people who had both and cheaper by 10 to 20 dollars. Just watch your threads they are very very fine threads. Mine went together with zero issue. They look clean and now I'm not paranoid about getting scratches on my lense. Lol if it was my acog like I had in the military it wouldn't be a big deal……but I used my money on my firedot and I love it to pieces

I ordered the flip up lens protector for my scope. When I finally got it I was somewhat disappointed because it didn’t include both lenses. Just one. So if you do order one (make it two) make sure it’s for both the ocular and objective end of the scope.
