Purchased this scope because of Leupold's good reputation and made in USA. Dot is round and not"fuzzy" though in the high intensity range it does but that's to be expected and probably not happen in bright sun where high intensity is needed. Nice to see a scope with full range of intensity settings for those of us not needing the night vision option that limits the daylight setting to only a few with large intensity difference between settings. A definite +. I could not detect any "windage" Parallax but did detect some elevation movement near the 3/4s of the field of view. Sight adjustment is well marked dial, screwdriver is not needed another +. Rings that came with scope will fit Picatinny base, has 3 lugs that fit the groves so if intended to use on Weaver base either the bare or the mount will have to be altered. In addition is a bit high! I removed the rings and have rings that are lower and will fit weaver base on the way! Hasn't been mounted yet since I'm waiting for rings. However I like what I have seen and hope Leupold will provide this scope in a Pistol version in that Parallax is adjusted to 50 yards and available without rings. It's kinda disappointing to be told by Leupold that scope without rings are available for export but not sales in the USA. If this scope after mounting dose what I expect it will I intended to purchase 5 more and friends that have seen it also are very interested. This Red Dot seems to be what competition pistol shooter are looking for and being able to purchase it without rings or with the PRW2 type rings a plus. I see no reason why I can't purchase the export version and save the cost paying for the included rings I can't use!! Rings and Parallax is the reason for 3 star rating.

Clarity is excellent and the "shake awake" works perfectly. Love this thing. All this and the Leupold warranty make this an awesome product, no regrets. And the price point is great for the quality, best value around, imo.

The glass in the sight is clear however the dot is not perfectly round. It is a splatter dot which makes it looks like there is multiple circles when looking through it. I have went to more than one retailer and looked through their scopes on display and they all look like mine….splatter circle.

I purchased the 180093 model. I largely agree with BDC's assessment of this sight. I jumped at purchasing this, before COMPLETELY inspecting it, because it is a Leupold, and it appeared to have filled my mission requirements of it. That said, the reflective coating on the objective is negative impact for tactical use. This SHOULD have COME with a Tenabraex Killflash, screw in objective cover, for that reason. Second; The 34mm objective bell makes you believe it has a much larger field of view than it actually has. This wasn't a deal breaker for me, because I was taught to use the Bindon Eye Concept, almost exclusively. However, if you elect to implement a flip up magnifier with this sight, it may become an issue, if you are forced to shoot with only your scope eye. Third; I only read HERE that this sight is advertised as a "hunting sight". So, the tactical options were not implemented on this sight for that reason. The problem is that this would be an AWESOME combat/tactical/competition sight, if it had those options. Fourth; it would have been nice if the AR mount had been designed with throw lever QD. Fifth; The reticle lighting system IS a pain in the a$$ to cycle through. Sixth; "shake awake" would have been a nice addition to this sight, as well. The optics and glass are as clean as my IOR Valdada Pitbull, and Schmidt and Bender glass.. as expected for a Leupold product. All things being equal, if you've got good enough eyes, this sight would be (IMHO) better than Leupold's CQ/T, for combat/tactical/competition use. It took all this for me to drop my rating to four stars. But, had Leupold implemented all the features for tactical use, that are missing, I'd imagine this sight being $1k more, in price.

Great product. As advertised, solid strong, easy to see one MOA red dot. Works well at dawn and bright sun light. Living in the desert of Arizona is no problem for this sight. I use this on my self defense rifle at home. Would recommend this sight.

So I was to pay $299 sale price and get a bore sight for free.It was a special. Instead I got charged $399 and no bore sight. I think I’m done buying from a dishonest company. Of course the scope is awesome and would definitely buy Leupold every time.
