Mounted on a REM 700 XCR TLR in .308, combined with Leupold Mark 4 rings and scope to give quality optics set up. Pricy, but you get what you pay for. Versatile for use with other other scopes and rings. One piece mount gives length for additional adjustment.Pros: Rugged, Mounts easily, versatileCons: Price

Although the Mark 4 tactical base is a little more than the other bases available this base is the best around!Another plus, the Leupold line is made here in the U.S.A..Quality products when you get the Mark 4 rings be sure to get the aluminum type as Leupold does not recommend using the steel rings with the aluminum bases.Pros: Easy to mount to rifle, lines up perfect for the Remington 700,Made in the U.S.A.Cons: None

I originally mounted a VXL 50mm on the one piece rail, but was alittle too high to take advantage of having the L shape. Just recently placed a 6.5-20 mark 4 on it and the rail does have about 15 to 20 MOA built in. Not sure if its worth the money it you put a normal 3-9 scope on it, but I plan on trying to shoot longer ranges. Nice piece of steel.Pros: Easily mounted without any trouble.Cons: None that I can see at this time.

To echo some of the other reviews. These are solid and well made. They have some heft to them and give a gun that custom look. I wish they came in stainless to match my action. I bought these because they come with a 15 moa slope. I did not see this anywhere on the Optics Planet info but if you look at Leupold they do say it so if your not looking for the slope get another mount.Pros: easy set upCons: no stainless, no mention of 15 moa slope

I bout this base to replace an old set of weavers. It mounted up solid and allows me to use some of the more high end rings that require a picatinny base. The steel construction is a must for steel rings. It's heavier but MUCH more solid and durable.

Bought this mount do to the price for a steel mount. Put it on my Remington 700 police, the mount fit perfectly no gaps or off drilled holes. The screws are great and they include both the #6 and #8 size screws. It is supposed to have 15 MOA but I will find out when i mount scope. It would be nice if the center was milled out for a bit of weight saving but not a reason to pass this mount up. Would definitely buy again, Optics planet was fast and a pleasure to deal with.
