Mounted to my AR and the light weight of this scope is really important. Optical components are very good. Sits low to the rails and my mount extends the scope forward, allowing me to have the scope perfectly stationed exactly where it needs to be to give me ideal eye relief AND retain my rear Magpul popup mechanical sight. That is important. You will also want a throw leaver with this scope. Search for "Leupold VX-Freedom 2-7x33mm Rifle Scope Throw Lever" and find the machine shop which makes them. This adjusts the eye piece fast and easily, which you will want as soon as you twist the factory ring. It is a bit tight, but easy to adjust. I just like faster and easier, because this AR is intended for real business.

Installed it on a 1903 Springfield. Bore sighted, fired it today.Definately Leupold. Great clarity and light transmission. Easy to adjust. Very tight groups. They have discontinued making it. I like mine.

Yes, it is a Leupold. The tracking is good and the glass is clear. Recently my sling broke and the scope fell on a rock smashing the turret and ruining the holding of a zero (on a VX 1). Leupold fixed the scope with no questions asked in just a couple of weeks. I don't expect this new scope to be of any problem either. My ONLY minor complaints on the Freedom 2×7 is that the turret caps seem cheap and the numbers on the ocular lens seem to have been put on by a child (and no lens cloth either). The shorter tube sometimes requires offset rings. Other than that the scope works great and I have no complaints about the performance of the scope. I've owned Leupold product for over 40 years and none of them have given me any problems. They are well made and worth the money and if something ever goes wrong the customer service is A+. If you compare these scopes to other brands, side by side, you'll see the difference.

Crystal clear. Works perfect for low light conditions in the dense forests of the North East. Fast shipping, came earlier than expected. So far it has done everything I've needed or wanted it to do. Would recommend and would have no issue purchasing this setup again.

This scope is perfect for my Henry 30-30. The scope sits well on the rifle. The controls are smooth and turrets are tactile with audible clicks. The lenses are clear with no image distortion and the edges are clear. Field of view is usable for the hunter and eye relief is perfect for me. I would highly recommend this scope for the hunter in mind and especially on the 30-30 lever gun. No regrets on this purchase.
