The unit seems very robust and surprisingly "heavy" (solid) than expected. It ships in a nice box with both a sight tool and a battery cap tool. Also includes a rubber cap that fits over the sight protecting it when the weapon system is not in use, which I like. The battery that came with mine was dead, so had to replace. Could be fixed by not having the battery installed in the unit from the factory, I think. That was a bit of an irritation. The pic rail lock system is pretty secure and tightens when the latch is not locked, so you can get that extra tight clamp. The red dot on this unit is a very crisp red dot, unlike some red dot systems which look kind of oblong or "blob" like especially at low power. As you increase the power on this dot that center point just gets brighter (as it should, rather than seem like it changes size and shape). The parallax also seems really "on". The adjustment screws do need a tool, so my one complaint is that you won't be able to adjust this system in the field without a screw driver or multi-tool. Wish those screws came with a strong finish, I nearly marred the screw the first time I adjusted because my tool wasn't an exact fit. Besides those points, I think this system is about as good as any I have owned (EOtech, AimPoint, Trijicon) and it's priced better. I plan to buy another soon for a different weapon.

I got this item a few months ago. When I finally got around to using it, it doesn’t work. Not the battery. Just cheap junk. I do not recommend. I actually bought two. On the one that does work, the rubber cover activates the switch so you think you’ve turned it off, but it isn’t. Burns up the battery.
