There are plenty of detailed reviews on this model. To keep it short, why this sight is great? Doesn't look or feel cheap. Has a 3Gun style format starting at 1X going to a decent 6X, fairly clear across of the range. It's a second focal plan sight, so the unique reticle will not change size as you zoom. Downside your settings are at the original magnification. Easy way to have a sight in every rifle you have without breaking the bank. Farthest I've tried is 300yds and about 1K rounds with no issues. This is not for going to war, good enough for the range or home defense. Got one and like it so much, ended up buying another. You're picky? Expend 2X, 3X times more on a Vortex or something else. Otherwise, there's no reason to have a long gun without at least a basic sight like this.

Just mounted it on a Rossi WMR .22 Mag. Shoots great. Also, the quick Scope detachable mount also has a rail for a light, that can be removed. That was a bonus. Guys at the range loved the set up, on this Rossi. Has a large reticle dot in the middle, with military type crosshairs. Great for old people, like me. If it's sunny out, you won't see the Red or Green. Who cares, it was a great price for the Scope, Base and Rings.

The only issue with this optic is on the level 5 brightness you get a little color inside the optic. However, the reticle is great, sold frame, and holds zero . I only reached out to 130 yards but it was ring steel all day. This is a great trade off optic to spend the additional funds on ammo.

First impression when I took it out of the box and looked through it was dang, the cross hairs are definitely not square with the scope. As I played with it some more I was pleased with the clarity and overall feel. This is a nice scope. Mind you it's not a $600 plus LPVO but it's more than worth the price it's set at. Especially if you can get it on sale. I opted for the one with no mount as I would replace it anyhow and why pay for what I'm not going to use. The red and green recital have a good range of adjustment. Would be nice if there were offs between settings like some scopes but heck, at this price I can live with it. I mounted it to a new AR build I recently finished. A 223 Wylde that is more towards a high end build. I didn't cut corners anywhere. I built my own upper and lower completely with higher end hardware. I was reluctant to cheap out on a scope but I figured this might hold me for a while till I come across a nice scope on sale. I will still most likely buy a higher quality LPVO at some point but I'm not in a big hurry to at this point. So I have it mounted on my rifle and I've aligned the cross hairs in relation to my rifle. I have no complaints. The eye box is better than I expected, quite good really. Glass is clear and zooming in and out is smooth and firm but actually could be a tad more firm but I don't see it being an issue. I have another build. A 300 Blackout that I've never put an optic on because I built it to sell. All my other AR's have scopes and red dots with magnifiers. Since I've decided to keep the 300 I've been thinking of what sort of optic I wanted. I believe that I'll just buy another one of these NcStar 1×6 LPVO and stop thinking about it.

Pros: It seems very well constructed and doesn’t feel cheap. The 1x functions very well as a close combat optic. I love that it comes with a throw lever. The mount is actually very nice “for a free mount”. It zooms in just enough to make 300yd engagements easier. Cons: It’s heavy. The illuminated reticle isn’t bright enough for very sunny day. The finish scratches very easily. All this being said overall I love this optic for the price. It performs well and I enjoyed using it. I am a veteran and I used a red dot in the military for a long time so this particular style of reticle is perfect for me. Someone with a hunting background or long range background may not like it. It is very much a CCO with medium range capabilities. I am used to shooting a red dot far so take this in to account.

Watched some YouTube reviews on this item but wasn’t sure if it was all hype. Ordered received and mounted. Sturdy mount, nice optic. I have a primary arms 1-6 and this thing is fairly comparable. I also love the circle dot reticle. The dot is very fine for more accurate shooting. I would definitely recommend this product to someone looking to save a few bucks on an LPVO.
