This scope is all you'd ever want in a riflescope. Clear, bright sight picture with a great reticle and tough built! The components are well built and stay at zero through alot of ranch vehicle riding. Why pay thousands more for a comparable Swarovski, unless you are one of those brand important types or have money to burn..

A little heavy for packing but literally bullet proof and worth every penny. At least you know if you hike 6 miles and fall down it'll stilll be on! Nothing could be worse than hiking that far, finding the big one and having a scope fail the drop test. Don't have to worry about that here!

I recently bought a new Precision Rifle for shooting and needed a new scope. I researched every brand of scope that is out there. I own several other brands of scopes currently. I decided on this model for my needs due to the quality of their manufacturing process. I also ordered a Night Force ATACR 7-35 X 56. So this was a (2) scope purchase. One scope for hunting and one scope for shooting steel at long ranges. I consider Night Force as the Cadillac of scope quality. Highly recommend that you buy one. The glass clarity is exceptional with both scopes.

I wanted to get into long range shooting. I purchased a Remington 700P in .308 and mounted a NF 5.5-22 NXS on a set of Ken Farrell rings and base. I put 15,000 rounds through the rifle and shot in many, many 600 and 1000 yard compititions. I won many, many 600 and 1000 yard competitions in 2 different countries. I’m all the traveling and banging around the rig saw. I NEVER had any issues with the scope. 17 years of use at this point. The rifle has been rebarreled a couple of times, but the NF scope is in perfect condition. I wouldn’t buy or use any other scope. I tried many others and NOTHING compares to the Nightforce optics, adjustments, strength or repeatablity. The initial price is a bit steep, but it’s much cheaper than buying a lesser scope, realizing it’s junk and having to buy a Nightforce in the end. Do it right, do it once, get the Nightforce and don’t have any regrets. Happy shooting

I recently took up sport shooting after having not fired a rifle in 40 years. Iron sights are out of the question with my eyes, so I decided to go with optics. I investigated the Nightforce NXS riflescopes and was impressed with all the reviews I read. After purchase, I can attest that the reviews are spot on. I am fortunate that my gun club has a 400 yd range, which is the distance I prefer to shoot. The 22 magnification allows me to zero in on targets smaller than an aluminum pop can at that distance; only problem then is remaining steady. I will be purchasing another Nightforce NXS riflscope for another of my rifles in May. This scope is everything I had heard about Nightforce. Tracking is precise, lense clarity is exceptional side to side and in low light. The MOAR-T reticle is perfect for hunting and the illuminated center for low light is a bonus. 20 MOA per revolution makes stretching your rifle/load combination pretty easy. I've always had Tac Mil Reticles w/MOA adjustments; now everything is MOA and I really like this setup. The zero stop feature should be on all long range scopes; no more keeping up with revolutions, just turn it back until it stops and you are good to go. The package also comes with sunshade, lense cloth, and bikini lense cover. Opticsplanet was a pleasure to deal with both in price and shipping.
