When a shooter needs a reliable mounting system without adding substantial weight to his rifle, NightForce has come up with the solution. NightForce Ultra Light Rings use titanium where it counts to match or exceed the strength of steel rings. NightForce designers approve the use of these rings under the heaviest of recoil conditions. Like Ultralite Unimounts, Night-Force Ultralight Rings feature CNC machined 7075-T6 hard anodized black aluminum bodies and titanium beta series crossbolt, nut and jaw. This unique selection of materials and design provide exceptional strength, uncharacteristic of lightweight scope rings. Testing has proven the use of these materials in combination produces a scope ring that is stronger than steel. Nightforce Ultra-lite Rings and are finished with a low-reflection, hard-anodized black coating. These rings were precisely machined, well finished and employed high quality materials making a good solid yet lightweight system for mounting any scope securely and easily. Lapping was not necessary. Regretfully I was unable to use the sister 20 MOA Remington M700 pictinny rail mount by Nightforce as it was configured for 6-48 TPI screws and not the 8-40 TPI screws on my M700 type receiver. Cost is not a significant factor when building an accurate, high end, long range rifle, so no complaints there.

Very impressed!!! Would not buy any other product for scope rings. Buying sub standard scope rings might lead to having them lapped to fit precision shooting scopes. OpticPlanet was expedite in the order and packaging was nice and tight.

This is the 4th set of these NF ultralight rings I have purchased. The medium height works best for the bench and f-class scopes. NF competition and March. Saving a few ounces here lets me put more weight where it will do more good. Great set of rings.

These rings look great and I'm sure they will work fine but…………. I'm somewhat disappointed in the way the very narrow recoil cross bot/lug engages with the Picatinny rail slot. The cross bolt screw is rather narrow and as a result affords a great deal of slop (fore and aft) when sliding on a Mil-Spec Picatinny rail. I tried it on seven different Mil-Spec rails. I don't understand why Nightforce allows that much slop. I expected them to fit the rail lugs very precisely and snug with little slop fore and aft. I was wrong. The huge amount of clearance between the cross bolt and the Pic rail slot defeats the the fact the rings are very wide (.960")……… which I do like. What this boils down to is…….you do get better scope tube grip from the six screws but the rail recoil grip is no different than a typical standard 5/8" wide Picatinny Mil-Spec rail ring using a similar cross bolt attachment. They look great but don't work any better than a standard Mil-Spec Picatinny ring. Your spending about $70.00 more just for looks and getting nothing more to hold the scope any better to the rail than a typical Pic ring.

High quality rings for a Nightforce SHV 4-14x50mm scope on a Ruger Precision Rifle. I couldn't find a recommended ring height for this scope and rifle combination. I first tried the 1.150 inch tall rings and then scope was just touching the top rail of the foreend due to the 20 moa built into the receiver rail. The 1.265 inch tall rings do the trick with enough clearance for the scope and the Nightforce sunshade to clear the front rail by about 0.1 inches. Hope this can help someone else like me when they're shopping. Price hurt once, but now the pain is over and I have what I really wanted the first time. Quality looks top notch otherwise.

Mounted a NF NX8 4-32 on a newly customized Rem 700 6.5 CM PRS rifle. Had to go with the NF Extreme Duty 1.125” high rings on this tack driver. Solid rings, well made and at a fair price. Look great too. Go NF!
