The last line of my review SHOULD READ: withOUT stopping the locking lug on the mount from operating.Sorry. I hit the send button too soon, and then found out that you can't edit it.

This was the mount that the GREAT Optics Planet equipment specialists recommended for my new PVS 14, to be paired with a J arm. It works great. Solid construction, and easy to use. Unless you want to spend another thousand dollars to get a complete "tacticool" mount, this is the way to go.There will be some "wobble" with the J arm. This is designed in, and will disappear once you get the J arm properly adjusted to you eye so the eye cup is taking up the slack. The "wobble" actually makes seeing through the lens easier because it allows you eye to be in slightly different positions whenever you want. Try it, and you'll be OK with the issue. You can get rid of the "wobble" by loading the female side of the bayonet mount with one of the sponge "pluck out" pieces that you took out of the gun case that you bought for your favorite rifle. Just fold it in half and push it past the locking plate so that the front of the male side of the mount on the J arm goes into it, with stopping the locking lug on the mount from operating.Another great piece of gear from Optics Planet.

Well made, however it did not fit my PVS 14. I had to hand fit my mount on my J arm to get it to securely lock in place. I was not able to contact the PVS 14 manufacturer for help. Optics Planet did attempt to help and were able to find the helmet mount I could use.
