I was looking for an optic that I could use for an all around application that wouldn’t break the bank. So after a bit of looking around I decided on Primary Arms. What sold me was the ACSS reticule. It really makes for easy range estimations, and good target acquisition in closer ranges. I also really like the option of red or green illumination, and the fixed 5x is a good balance in my opinion. Giving you a little over 18 feet of view at 100 yards. So far it’s stands up to whatever I’ve put it through and is a rugged optic. Plus with the price it was hard to pass up.

They do what they are designed for. Optics are clear, easy to zero, and seem to hold zero over time. I can not speak the durability as I have only used as a range site. So far they have proven to be reliable and the design / quality is excellent for the price point.

I just received my Primary Arms 5×36 GenIII and I’m very impressed with the quality of the product. I’m waiting for the Tavor x95 and will be testing out to 220 yards. I really like the reticle and reference points for 556. More to come…
Dont buy –
Primary arms has some great optics at a great price point, I had the 3x prism scope but traded it in fir the 5x perfect fir my needs and with my astigmatism it works wonders for a crisp clear view. I’m sure I will be buying more in the future

I have several red dots on a variety of pistols and rifles and I was planning to do the same thing on my new Tavor x95 556. I am so glad I tried the PA 5X36 because it is a very impressive and very high-quality product, perfect for the AR platform. Having the extra magnification is great and the reticle is perfect for all ranges out to 800 yards. I installed the scope and was very impressed with the solid bolt-on ease of installation and it was spot on right out of the box. The mounting system makes installation simple and takes < 1 minute. I can't express how satisfied I am with this product and will do another review once I get it outside and can go out to 220 yards. More to come and I would highly recommend this product as a starting point for the AR platform. Great value and very impressive quality for ~$325!
