The Ruger ReadyDot Optic is an easy-to-use micro reflex sight system designed to co-witness on Ruger’s MAX-9 pistol. It fits a variety of EDC compact handguns with Shield RMSc footprints and can be co-witnessed to back up iron sights. The profile and shape were designed to provide visual guidance for fast target acquisition and EDC capability. The fiber illuminated reticle adjusts to varying light conditions and has been specifically designed for battery-less operation at typical concealed carry pistol ranges. This creates a red dot system that is easier to acquire and stay on target, all without worrying about batteries. The 1X reflex sight is fixed in both elevation and windage and the highly visible dot facilitates fast target acquisition. The sight includes a T10 Torx Wrench and (2) M4x0.7 8mm screws for installing the sight on the MAX-9 only. NOTE: The ReadyDot Optic mounts with a standard RMSc footprint. Be aware of differences in screw specifications, adaptor plates and mounts between different optics-ready pistols. Great optic for the price. Works perfectly on my MAX 9.

Fits Glock 43x MOS no modifications needed…even the screws are the right size….both are RMSc so no surprises there. Factory sights cowitness too. Only problem, the red dot was off center to the left. These are non adjustable & factory zeroed so it must be a defect and I will be returning for an exchange.

Having luck with Meorolight M21 self powered optics I decided to try Ruger ready dot on my Glock 43X. I have no problems picking up dot even in poorly lit interior rooms. If there’s ambient light the dot can be acquired. Albeit faintly in low light. It will disappear in the dark which shouldn’t surprise anyone considering its power source. At that point I acquire my tritium front sight or use my handheld EDC light where the dot is able to collect and power from same. My opinion on cons are that the window is very small, the glass does have a deeper blue hue than I would like, and being made out of plastic I’m sure durability is not optimal. But as a micro compact or compact carry optic for common pistol use distance of 3 to10 yards its 4 star capable and then some.

Fits the G43x with only a small amount hanging over each side. Works with the stock sights. I like that it doesn’t have any electronics but that means you need light for it to work. Unrelated but the shipping was terrible! Took two weeks when I’m only 30 miles from the warehouse

The Ruger ReadyDot seems ok so far. However, I received neither the screws or the wrench in the packaging. Not sure if this was a mistake on the part of Ruger or if this was a returned package to Optics Planet, and the original purchaser took the screws and wrench out. Either way, it was a heck of a time trying to find replacement screws. Ruger has the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Who would think getting 2 tiny screws would be so difficult. Still haven't received them. Spend the money and get a Holosun or Trijicon. Seriously.
