Optilock Base For 85/75/l461 Long Action Blued – The Optilock solid steel base fits all long action Sako rifles. The special patented locking mechanism is easy to lock into place by hand. The rear of the base is tapped for the securing of five dovetail rings. The clamping screws are made of blued steel. The rear of the base features two flat surfaces that can be used for sighting through the action or for clamping slings. The Optilock clamps firmly in place by hand. For clamping the clamping screws must be a perfect circle according to the profile of the receiver. When remounting the base, make sure to press a little forward from the receiver to ensure a good contact surface. The OptiLok rings and bases are my “go-to” for my Sako 75 so when I wanted a different scope I wanted same rings/bases as my existing scope VX3 6.5 x 20 but unable to find rings & bases in stainless, even in Europe. I settled for blued. Ordering was easy and delivery just outside a week.
