I am currently using this with a Primary Arms Gen 4 3x. I have not used the mount in any classes, competitions or for any hard use. In fact I have only just mounted it to my rifle which makes what follows all the worse. It mounts solidly and although it does not align perfectly with my Holosun 503 mounted on an Anderson Mfg QD lower 1/3, the dot is still perfectly visible and none of the red dot housing is visible in my magnifier's field of view. The mount aligns slightly better with my Primary Arms 503 clone on a Primary Arms fixed lower 1/3. For all of the above I am well pleased and the only reason this mount doesnt get 1 star. What I am not pleased with is that the snap to side function DOES NOT WORK reliably. There is front to rear play in the pivot pin upon which the rings (and thus the magnifier) pivot out of the way when you release the latch. This means that the platform/rings can (and will, everytime) shift ever so slightly to the rear causing a portion of the platform to rub against the base when they are brought back together to align the magnifier with the red dot. What all this means is that there is friction between the base and platform, meaning that when you go to depress the latch…nothing happens. The optic stays in place becasue that bit of friction is too much for the pivot spring to overcome. This means I have to manualy push the optic out of the way, thus this mount's only selling point is unreliable, rendering it useless.I will be returning this and instead go with a LaRue which will not be as quick but certainly will function everytime, all the time.
