The Scalarworks LEAP/Scope mount combines minimal weight plus ultra-high-performance design to create one of the lightest, least obtrusive, and easiest to use scope mounts currently available. Machined from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum billet on top-of-the-line CNC machines, the LEAP/Scope mount offers incredible rigidity while still weighing less than any other quick-detach mount available. Like all LEAP mounts, the LEAP/Scope uses Scalarworks’ patented Quantum quick-detach mechanism for repeatable zero, fast mounting, and quick removal when necessary. Designed from the ground up to be lighter, lower-profile, and easier to use than traditional split rings. A low-profile design doesn’t get in your way of viewing or manipulating your scope’s adjustment turrets. A pair of tapered CNC machined screws lock into the base, bolstering structural rigidity. Wider than competing designs, providing more surface area to safely and securely hold your scope. A high-strength, multi-link hinge eliminates the uncertain and tedious setup required by split rings. If you want one of the best lightest mounts available along with peripheral viewing around the scope this is the one to get. Ease of pulling this mount on and off and to be able to retain zero is fantastic

I purchased 2 of these back in November 2021 and they have had very minimal use… I want quality when it comes to something I may have to bet my life on…I went to the range yesterday and upon removing my rifle from the case I observed that the scope had canted… This was extremely odd because this is on my home defense weapon and it sits next to my bed 99% of the time. When I do transport it, I use a case. I treat all my weapons with great care to preserve their accuracy and their value. The cause of the problem was that the hinge materials had yielded. I did not over torque the bolts. The design is quite good as securing the scope in place and the bolts have Loctite on them from the factory so there is never a need to over torque. The hinge design is faulty. I see that the LEAP/08 has an updated and clearly more robust hinge configuration from what I was sold.I hope ScalarWorks stands behind their product and will make this right.

Bought this to help keep weight down on a rifle, and to maintain a QD system. The thumb nuts seems to work well, and the mount returns to zero, even if you vary by a click or two. The leveling screw is nice, it levels the scope, but the split ring style will cant the scope when you finish tightening them down. It was off a few tenths of a degree, so for some it might be ok, but if you are really particular, you will want to counter rotate it a little before you torque it down. It would be nice to have a torque spec for the the thumbscrews, but in my experience it's not really needed as finger tight really does work as they claim. If it wasn't so expensive I would buy more of these.

I keep returning to Scalarworks for scope mounting solutions. The Scalarworks Leap mounts works perfectly for me and have several advantages over some of the other mounting solutions. The product is rock solid in its scope retention which is one of my concerns on my heavier recoiling rifles. This product comes to you with its torque values / setting on the product itself as well as the user manual provided by Scalarworks. This product’s design eliminates snag points with its circular thumbwheel Clickdrive like QD lever mounting solutions and is one of the lightest mounts without giving up any structural strength and rigidity. It also has a LevelDrive system to square up the scope while mounting and it has worked great for me but I may suggest to always verify by other traditional means that you are indeed level and squared up your scopes. It has always worked perfectly but I still check. I will buy this product again in the future and I recommend it.

Best mount you can buy. Makes leveling your optic much quicker. Very light, but solid build.

Nice and lightweight and easy to install. Seems well built and mounting it is very easy. I will be interested to see if I remove it and then reinstall it to see if it holds zero. I'm also curious to see about the strength of it.
