The M17 and M18 pistols have been selected by the US Military as the official sidearm, and the ROMEO-M17 is the only optic that is truly designed specifically for this pistol. All other optics have many disadvantages and make several compromises. The ROMEO-M17 does not. The ROMEO-M17 pistol red dot sight utilizes Sig Sauer’s proprietary sig-loc mounting interface and only fits Sig Sauer M17/M18 military issue, surplus and commemorative pistols with a single optics plate mounting screw. This sight will not fit any other pistols. Many of the innovative features found on the ROMEO-M17 will be available on new romeo pistol red dot sights as they are launched in the near future. This baby rocks! I never found a red dot that could handle my abuse… and was never a big fan of them anyway, but even an old grunt breaks down once in a while. Well, I stand corrected. The DOD finally did something right, ditched that clunky ole M9 (which was a poor replacement over the trusty 1911… Are you listening guys?)… But in true " we got it right" spirit, Sig followed suit with this thing. It's gone to 100 ft with me in the Keys and no issues… Would have called BS if it did have any. On the range? Awesome. Quick sight acquisition, no jarring and it spits dirt and sand out like a champ. I've broken a Romeo on duty, and Holosin? Pfft, please. Was going for the Leupold Delta, and saw this beauty with it's housing reminiscent of some of my Eotech's. Giving this the ole Damon Wayans "2snapsNaCircle"
