I’ve only had this sight a couple of weeks but have put about 500 rds through the Glock I have it on. I have other Sig brand optics and this one stands up to the Sig name. The 6 moa dot is bright and adjustable and easily seen in bright sunlight. The motion activated feature has worked well. Battery life seems to be as advertised, I’ve left it on and carried it in my patrol unit for several days and am still using the battery that came with it.

I’ve used the Romeo 1 3.0 MOA for a couple years now. Excellent optic. However, when shooting in sunlight, I found it harder to acquire the dot. The Sig Romeo 1 6.0 MOA does the trick! Very bright which helps with that quick acquisition shooting outside, and can be turned down for a softer dot when shooting at the indoor range. Very much recommend this optic!

I mounted my Romeo1 on Glock 34 MOS that I use for practical shooting competitions. I have the 6 MOA dot. (I previously had the 3 MOA dot, but prefer the bigger image as it helps me with target acquisition. At pistol distances (25 yards or less), having a bigger image will not measurably hurt accuracy or keep me from getting A or C zone hits. I have probably 2,000+ rounds through mine in competition and a week-long pistol training class where it got some rugged use. It held zero throughout. The brightness settings were sufficient for full desert sunlight as well as night and low light shoots (using a handheld light could still see dot w/o any washout). Got my sight scratched up and banged around a bit and had no issues. Glass is really clear and everything functioned great. I also have the 3 MOA version mounted w/a spacer on a SCAR 17S (with a Leupold D-EVO for distance shots) and that Romeo1 held up for a week of shooting .308 168gr. HPBT and did not lose zero. It was great.I did a lot of internet research for product / professional reviews and saw some early mixed opinions on the Romeo1 (mainly from people that did not own one, which baffles me). I can say first hand through a lot of use (not some "I just received it and opened the box and it looks great, but I haven't used or mounted it" review). This is a good optic at a good price (can't speak to the new Romeo Pro1). I also have a Trijicon RMR (6 MOA), which is mounted to my Glock 19 MOS I used for everyday concealed carry. Comparing the two, the SIG has much clearer glass, is easier to replace the battery, and adjusting brightness settings is easier. That said, the Romeo1 seems more suited for open carry / competition shooting vs. concealed carry. I have not used it for concealed carry. I prefer the auto-brightness adjustment of the Trijcon product. If it ever came to it, doesn't seem practical to tell a bad guy to hold on while you adjust your brightness settings for the lighting conditions. I think if the Romeo1 had a auto-brightness setting, it would be a good consideration for a carry pistol. This is a good product at a reasonable price. Given that the Trijicon version of this is nearly double the price, the SIG is a good buy. And, the fact that Trijicon came out with the SRO probably tells you that they felt there was a market for the competition shooter that wanted clear glass and a rugged site. SIG has done it.

Never used a red dot on one of my pistols before, wasn’t to sure about the purchase Super happy with the Romeo 1, installation was a breeze just needs to have screws torqued to specs, I got the 6 moa witch is perfect for close to mid range not planning on shooting 100 yards with it. The brightness settings are very nice low settings looks like a 3moa. After installing on my X5 I took to the range for sight in and wow!!!! Seriously this is to easy, just need some practice pulling from holster since I’m used to iron sights and I’ll be whooping some butt in tournaments. 400 rounds and held zero. Super happy with everything the Romeo 1 has to offer.

I just replaced the original Romeo1 red dot sight (damaged in a drop) with the new Romeo1 1x30mm, 6 MOA red dot sight. First let me say that the Sig Sauer Romeo1 arrived very well packaged with a Lithium battery, User Manuel, lens cleaning cloth, two screws, and the appropriate tools to install on my handgun. I found the Romeo1 very easy to install on my Sig Sauer P229RX. I recommend using a Wheeler FAT torque wrench to install the placement screws at the correct pressure in foot pounds, however the Allen wrench provided by Sig Sauer with the Romeo1 red dot works just as well. The Romeo1 uses a 3V Lithium battery which is extremely easy to install. I would recommend keeping several fresh batteries for your Romeo1 in your gun bag. I used the Sightmark bore red laser – which I highly recommend – to zero in the Romeo1 electro-optic sight on my 9mm P229RX last night at my home. The red dot adjustment screws (windage up-down, left-right) appear to be stainless steel. I prefer theses metallic adjustment screws over the old adjustment screws which had a nitron black finish. When you adjusted the old nitron black screws on the Romeo1 tiny bits of the black surface coating would fleck off, giving my Sig P229 a less than pristine look. I found the new Romeo1 to be extremely accurate at the shooting range this afternoon. The Romeo1 is easy to turn on. I like the tritium (glow-in-the-dark) triangles on the two control levers. I found the initial red dot factory setting to be extremely bright but it was very easy to dim the red dot to my personal preference by following the instructions in the attached User Manual. Sig Sauer provides a great fitting black plastic dust cover to protect the glass surface of the Romeo1 sight. Many other red dot manufacturers do not provide you with a dust cover for their sights (i.e., Holosun 507k) so that is a nice added feature. Sig also provides a cleaning cloth for the glass shield on the red dot sight which is very nice to have in my gun bag. I now have several thousand rounds on my original and new Sig Sauer Romeo1 electro-optic red dot sight. I find the Romeo1 to be a remarkable red dot sight which has improved my accuracy at the indoor gun range tremendously. Target acquisition is rapid with the Romeo1. May I also add that most holster manufacturers can provide a Romeo1 compatible holster for my Sig P229RX. I am 69 years old, began shooting just over two years ago, and last month earned my NRA Handgun Expert qualification. I'm working hard on earning my NRA Distinguished Expert now. I could not have reached this level of competency without the Sig Sauer Romeo1 red dot on my P229RX. You cannot go wrong by purchasing the Sig Sauer Romeo1 1x30mm red dot sight for your handgun. I give it my strongest recommendation. Based on my experience, you may want to consider installing a steel shroud cover to protect your new Sig Sauer Romeo1 red dot sight from damage caused by an accidental drop (insurance). Good shooting!

The Romeo 1 was a great red dot before, but it had its limitations with its brightness settings and dot size. The new 6 MOA version has more brightness settings, and much easier to track. It also has an improved housing to better protect the glass. I will be upgrading all of my RDS to this new one.
