Great scope!!!! Paired With a sniper hog illuminator and I have been impressed!!! Also great for teaching my son to start hunting and practicing with a rifle we practice with a unloaded gun and finding objects and then dry firing and I can watch for the videos to see how he did.

For the price, you can't beat this scope. With the stock IR light, you can identify deer roughly 250 to 300 yards away. If you add a better IR light with it, its like daylight almost. I will be buying one for my wife later on.

by far awesome!!!! easy to operate. easy to zero. works great on my .300 blackout suppressed!! it is not wireless. quick to start up. no problems. easy to update firm ware. if you want to see farther than 200 yards get a stronger ir light.

A friend let me borrow their older Sightmark NV scope (SM18018) and I was hooked. After looking at many different models, I decided this was the best value for the reliability and I'm happy with my decision. With the supplied IR illuminator, I can easily make out objects out to 100 yards so far, but I decided to purchase an aftermarket illuminator that uses rechargeable batteries. I've seen where people have used a single 17670 (also known as a Pila 168 S) in place of the 2 required CR123s with success and maybe I'll try that later on.The features of the scope are nice. You can use the scope in the day or night and it even gives the option of the NV in green if you don't like it in black and white. The image is very clear after you focus it for whatever zoom level you have it set on. You can change the value of the digital zoom to your liking, which makes it zoom in a little at a time or very quickly. It has the option to use different animal scales to approximate your distance so you can adjust for elevation. And my favorite feature is that you can save the zero on 4 different weapons, including my crossbow. What initially sold me on this scope was reading through lots of reviews for many different NV scopes and this one seems to be the most reliable. All of the other features, including ones I didn't list, are a bonus to that selling point. Make sure you charge it fully and update the firmware when you first get it.

Thinking about buying a 2nd one of these, and after reading other reviews and comments, I have found my experience to be different. In so have decided to leave my own review. I bought this a year ago, during which time customer service and shipping times were oth great. But those have nothing to do with the product itself which is also great. The scope takes a little time to learn and get used to. After familarizing myself with it and getting a zero on several AR15 builds and an AR10 build I have founf in using it both day and night that for the money this is the best scope on the market. Being combat retired pararescue I have used a lot of scopes in my day. For coyotes and other night needs on a budget this is the best option I have found. Hence my thoughts towards buying a 2nd. I like it that much. I also am using both the original IR light which I have found functional up to around 175-200 yards depending on a few variables. Those saying different make me think it is user error. All though who would ever actually admit that? Anyways, keep in mind this is a video scope. Definitely recommend to anyone with patience and knowledge about how this realm of scopes work.
