I noticed several guys shooting benchrest are using this scope on their factory guns and a few who use them on their custom guns. So I purchased one for my 6.5 CM RPR and a second one for my 1st of two 6 CM RPRs. I will likely replace the Konus 6.5-25×42 on my second 6 CM RPR with one as well. The scope does take some time getting used to. The eye relief is a very tight window, especially at the longer range settings. But the good point of that is while it forces an exact eye position it influences the same in shouldering. I recently bought a custom and two factory class 6mm BRs. Guess what I chose to put on them.

The Good: Incredibly sharp image. None of the cloudiness that some have reported. Precision parallax isn't fast, but is very effective at attaining spectacular resolution at this price. Flawless tracking of the 1/8 MOA turrets. Super lightweight for this type of scope. Very fine crosshair helps deliver the best benchrest accuracy possible. The Bad: Honestly, for this type of scope, and when using it for the intended use, I can't think of anything bad to say at all.Final Verdict: For anyone that understands what they are getting into with a super high magnification non-variable scope, I would recommend this scope without hesitation. It would be an awful choice for hunting anything, or for shooting in low light, but that isn't what it was designed for. If you want the absolute best precision scope for benchrest-type shooting that can be had for anywhere near the price of this scope, look no further than this scope.

Title says it all. This is an outstanding scope and value at its price. If a fixed focal length target scope is what you're after, IMO there is none better in its price range or below, "IMO" being key. I have many scopes and several other Sightrons. Sightron scopes are made in Japan and/or in Sightron-owned factories. All other scopes I know of at this price are built-to-spec items made in whatever country and whatever factory can meet the spec and price. If you're okay with countries like China, spotty QC, and "brands" that might or might not have any sort of customer service – you can find options. But you won't find a better target scope at this price. Sightron scopes in general have good glass and outstanding adjustment precision. This scope is no exception. It holds zero solidly and adjustments track very precisely. Adjustments in the midst of a match are made with confidence. An eighth of an inch is an eighth of an inch. Everytime. The glass is good – not great but as good as is needed for match shooting. This Sightron replaced a Leupy of less magnification for a .22 BR competition series I shoot in. My Leupold target scope is noticeably brighter. It's also twice the cost. The brightness is not an issue because we don't shoot in low light — so the scope does what I need perfectly. I am 100 percent satisfied with this Sightron scope and understand why it's so popular with BR shooters. The cross hair is fine and clear, the center dot is visible and clear but not so large it obscures a 1/2" bull at 50 yards, and the parallax is dead-on. This is the perfect 36X target scope for my club-match use and FWIW, I shoot "B" grade equipment against folks with seriously high-end gear, yet I'm consistently in the top 3 and was the only shooter with a perfect score our last match — my first perfect score and the first match I shot with this scope installed. The only thing one needs to keep in mind is — this is a 36X, fixed focal length target scope. Eye relief and alignment are critical. Your cheek weld and head position have to be correct or you get a ghost or no image. There is no "forgiveness."

Do not think of this scope for any hunting it has a very narrow field of view. The 36x magnification and fine crosshair with very small central dot is excellent for precise target shooting with benchrest equipment. A very reasonable start optic for new benchrest shooters.

I found this Sightron fixed power scope to be of excellent quality and excellent price. I recently got into benchrest shooting but had limited resources. After reading numerous reviews on this product, I purchased. I did my first competition yesterday and placed 4th out of 16 shooters. The other shooter'scopes were high end nightforce and leupold models. I had good clarity and the scope was repeatable. In effect it did an excellent job. I did look through a high end leupold and saw no discernable difference. Please, bear in mind, I am not a scope expert. We shot at 300 yards at 6pm and i had no problem seeing target. I am sure those high end scopes are probably better, but, this scope did the job well enough for me to place 4th. I used a savage model 12 6mm BR with this scope and did it all for about half of what a custom bench rest gun would cost. 5 stars for value and quality.

Great works good clear optics it shoots like it is suppose to with out all of haze or fog in lens it don't move all over the place and hard to bet the clear view of the scope. It is easy to adjust and accurate that means a lot for what I use this scope for it handles the shock of the gun I shoot it on
