The Swampfox Trihawk 3x30mm Prism Scope is the perfect short- to medium-range optic for any AR 15 or tactical carbine. Designed differently than traditional Prismatic Red Dot Sights, the prism design is especially useful for shooters with astigmatism who have trouble focusing on the dot. It has a true 10-degree field of view, which gives you 52 feet of vision at 100 yards, letting you designate, engage, and switch targets quickly and accurately. This red dot sight also has the convenient Auto-On Shake N Wake technology, which immediately turns it on when you grab your weapon and shake it. This is much easier to do in tense situations than finding and pressing a button, saving you valuable seconds when you need them most. For a tough, compact, fixed-power scope, you can’t go wrong with the Swampfox Trihawk. Big thumbs way up on all Swampfox products. Heavy duty, nice glass, great reticle. Holds a zero and can easily group shots. Long lasting battery life. High end product for a great price. Highly recommend the trihawk or blade.

The swampfox trihawk 3x30mm prism scope is a great addition to my bullpup. The 53 feet field of view at 100 yrds is well above others at this price point. Great for multiple target acquisition. Glass is very clear and the bdc reticle and great with built in 556/223 ballistics. It is a little bulky however that had been the only negative i have found so far. The pros definitely outway the one negative.

The glad it's super clear. It work well in close quarters situations and I would say distances up to 300 yards. Shake wake works perfectly with good battery life. If you have an astigmatism this is perfect. It comes with in a red, green and amber sight reticle I would definitely recommend this prism scope.

I pre-ordered my sight from Swampfox because of the wide field of view and minute of angle reticle. I like fixed focal length because there is no fiddling with zoom, and you always know where you are. 3 power allows you to shoot 1 MOA AT 300 yards and possibly to 500 yards. BDC varies between manufacturers and requires a specific ballistic coefficient at a specific velocity. MOA is a good quick and dirty hillbilly rangefinder. I have a small piece of paper taped to and taped over on my mag well with a drawing of the reticle with ranges marked on it. However, in time and practice, you will memorize the ranges. The wide field of view makes finding your target easier with both eyes open. Eye relief is almost always an issue with prismatic sights. My eye relief varies between standing, sitting, and prone. This sight is good for me while sitting and prone, but leaves a little to be desired while standing. I have learned to adjust. Because ot wide field of view, this is a fairly large sight and sits 3 inches above bore. (this is an advantage.) Also, my chevron is a little dimmer on the left, but does not affect accuracy.

This is my first mid range optic that was over $100, and this was money well spent. Eye relief is a little close(I hear this is common with prism sights in general), but you get used to it pretty quick since the eye box is really good. FOV is incredible. The FOV gives you a ton of awareness of your surroundings making it easy to find your target. Love that it uses cr123 batteries so I don't have to carry around yet another battery type. Reticle is also very nice. Illumination isn't day bright so it could be brighter, but it's an etched reticle so not a big deal. 9/10 because of the price.

The big selling point of this is the gigantic field of view (FOV) which is quite comparable to the Trijicon ACOG. It is nearly as clear as the ACOG as well. The tradeoff is a very close eye relief and pretty significant weight (both of those issues are present with the ACOG – the Trihawk is only slightly heavier than a TA31). The image warps a bit if not perfectly centered, but doesn't seem to significantly impact function, but shifts in parallax are more noticeable than with the ACOG. I do prefer the option of a powered reticle and find the reticle easier to pickup than my ACOGs. Overall, for the price, this is a very solid choice for an entry level prism if you don't mind the eye relief.
