I have purchased Leupold rings in the past. I can not say that I had a problem with them. However after installing the first set and bore sighting I was centered in 2 shots. This is the third set with repeatable results. They are a little pricey however they are made right here in the good old USA. The shipping on the other hand is horrendous. I could have walked to OPTICS PLANET and received them quicker.

I am a fan of these Talley rings. Searched high and low for an affordable steel set for my new rig and finally settled on the Talley's. The workmanship and quality are great. I'm planning to get them color case hardened before completing my installation.

Excellent American Made Product. Fully produced in South Carolina on high precision CNC machinery. Though the new single piece high alloy (looks to be 7000 series ultra high strength) is lighter, and costs less I still prefer the good old detachable all steel units, in any of the three finishes or stainless. The Matte finish matches Leupold's high end scopes very well.Installation is a snap… but follow the directions and no need for lapping because of the very tight tolerances. Install the mounts, l usually snug down lightly. Do when installing the rings as they say, fully tighten the bottom screws and leave the top loose. Install the rings on the mounts on the rifle, sliding them forward in the cutouts all the way and tighten the clamp down, you can easily turn or slide scope even slightly tightening the top rings starts to really clamp onto the scope. Once you have eye relief and reticle plumbed (leveled out with your shouldered position on the rifle) tighten the top screws. Remove the scope and finish by tightening the mounts down to final tightness. When you install the scope after removal be sure to always put a little forward pressure on the scope so it is seated against the foreword end of the mounting recesses in the bases, then tighten down the clamps (screws or the wing levers).I have used these on some elephant rifle level recoiling guns and they down shoot loose, and come back on zero every time your reinstall the scope after removal. This allows you to remove and store the scope separately without re-sighting worry. This makes them an inexpensive alternative to European Claw Mounts, that are many times the money and require highly professional installation hand fitting, making them suitable for just one gun. However, with the Talley Quick Detachable Rings you can do it yourself and also use the scope on more than one gun, while keeping track of the dial positions on the scope for each application if desired. Much better system than Picatinny Rail, Leupold or Weaver Mounts.Yes I would buy again… already got a order planned while they are on sale!

Since discovering Talley I refuse to use anything else, that’s how good they are. I have come to prefer the QD rings with levers. For some of my rifles I have several sets of rings and scopes set up and sighted in to immediately change scopes in case of scope disaster

Tally rings are strong, quality made in the USA. They are used on many high power dangerous game rifles for a reason! My gunsmith recommended them to me many years ago and I have trusted Tally ever since!
