Overall a very solid product. Once installed it does as advertised. Only complaint I have is the supplied pin for the rear sight block would not fit in the supplied hinge bracket. Wouldn’t even fit being tapped with a hammer. After some light sanding/filing I managed to make it fit, although extremely tightly and with the use of a brass hammer. I don’t feel like a pin supplied by the company to fit into their product should need filing to make tolerances acceptable. Other than that, it absolutely locks up tight with zero play or wiggle.

This dust cover is perfect. Tight fit, railing for Optics or other accessories,but lighter than the factory issued dust cover. I purchased the Fab defense dust cover for a previous build, but in comparison its extremely bulky and requires filing to get it installed. If you're looking to upgrade to a tactical format or simply to upgrade your AK's look, then grab this dust cover.

Incredible top rail for AK pattern. You will need some skill but installation was around 30minutes. One thing is if done correctly this rail does not move. That is the key. Interchangeable and all but I have a Vortex 1-6x on their so I have no need for swappable feature. Matt finish is nice and the machining is top notch. Two concerns are a retaining washer for leaf spring area that is tiny and bends easily. The other issue is the price…Pop this out at $100 and I am easily buying 2 more. Great optics mount for AK pattern if not the best so,union out there. Highly recommended over the side rail thing which is not a solution at all for mounting optics with accuracy in mind. I’ve got to be honest…reviews that say “I haven’t had an opportunity to try it out yet, but…” are not helpful in my opinion. However, I bought this TWS Dog Leg top cover, because I had seen it several years ago, and loved the idea of a stable platform to mount optics on an AK, but wasn’t building an AK at that time. Well, I am now, and one of the first purchases I made was this top cover to mount on my Sharps Bros MB47 milled receiver. This cover is BEAUTIFUL! It’s well made, has a beautiful finish, and although I haven’t mounted it yet (it’s a Christmas present, & it’s not Christmas yet.��♂️) I have watched the video reviews on YouTube, and the process appears to be straight forward, & easy for anyone who is even remotely handy. Again…I haven’t had an opportunity to try it out, but I can only imagine that it will exceed my expectations once mounted. I hope THIS “I haven’t tried it myself” review is helpful.

Fits very well and super tight. I have it installed on a pioneer arms hellpup. Super simple install, didn’t have to adjust or modify anything. I am super impressed. Originally purchased a ncstar dust cover, absolute trash. I would cycle the bolt, it flies off with my optic. I am very happy with the gen 3 quality. I will buy another for my other hellpup.
