This 4×32 BAC ACOG scope provides a dual-illuminated reticle using fiber optics and tritium for a bright aiming point in any light condition. The 300 blackout reticle with merged aiming points has been optimized for simplicity and efficiency. It allows the user to instantly switch between supersonic and subsonic ammunition without having to re-zero the optic. The supersonic BDC (out to 600 yds.) has been merged with the subsonic BDC (out to 200 yds.) to provide one set of aiming points for both types of ammunition. The reticle drops are based on an average of commonly available off-the-shelf subsonic and supersonic ammunition from a 16″ barrel. This BDC reticle is not limited to one or two specific bullets: a majority of commonly available ammunition will fall within the 2 MOA diamond aiming points. The 2 MOA diamonds offer a balance of speed and versatility based on the unique performance of the 300 Blackout caliber. The drops in MOA for each aiming point are provided for users who wish to develop their own handloads for use on firearms with a barrel of 16″ or shorter, or for those who wish to deviate from the recommended zero distances. While I was in the service I used this Trijicon while in the active duty. These were great to use to help improving shooting, since you can see clear as day when your shooting a far range target. Even while shooting paper targets can easily tell if you hit or missed or how to adjust your sight right there, also they are very durable and easy maintenance.

As with all ACOG scopes, excellent and easy to use – but the specific set up for 300 Blackout is excellent. Easily allows switching between super and sub sonic ammo without any changes to scope settings.

Awesome clarity. I zeroed the optic using 220 grain subsonic per the instruction manual. Supersonic rounds were off substantially. I zeroed the optic using 120 grain supersonic. The subs were substantially off. I was using Remington UMC. I will repeat utilizing different ammo, and hopefully achieve the benefits of this reticle.

This is a great scope. Target acquisition is fast, the left/right bullet drop horizonatal has marks are easy to understand, and 4X is fine for what is essentially a short to medium range cartrige. But, sadly, I decided to return it. The reason is that Trijicon created the bullet drops based on a standard length 16" barrel chambered for 300 AAC Blackout. My 300 AAC is a Liberty Suppressor's 'Leonidis', an excellent and very quiet AR upper (far better than Daniel Defence's verison), but their design is based on an 8" barrel permanently affixed to their Leonidis suppressor. When I zeroed the gun with Hornady 110 VTAC's, the 220 grain subsonics ended up 5" high (and oddly a bit to the left). So this isn't Trijicon's fault, just a limitation of buying a scope that is based on certain parameters. What I will in all likelihood do is buy a Nikon scope from OpticsPlanet, probably a Monarch, and pocket the savings. I will then use Nikon's 'spoton' bullet drop calculator to get the gun reasonably well zeroed, then have to write down the actual bullet drops at different ranges using experience. If you have a 300 AAC with a 16" barrel, don't hesitate to buy this scope, it is wonderful.
